OK. I admit it, I am a gadget geek. In about two months, I will be heading off to the largest trade show in North America, the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas.  Three days of intense excitement for me as I get to see the gadgets many months -- and in some cases, years -- before they are introduced.

What does this have to do with health?

Absolutely nothing. BUT you must understand, it is my passion for health and gadgets that positioned me to put together this newsletter. It is my desire to be radically ahead of the curve, providing you this powerful alternative voice of truth to what the drug company controlled media is seeking to pitch to you.

I have to tell you that this new technology really boggles my mind. I’m not surprised they ended up using nano technology to accomplish this feat. It seems like a logical evolution in the search for unlimited information storage, because don’t you find that you just never seem to have enough of it?

It will be interesting, but perhaps a bit frightening, to see what medicine will end up doing with this newfound capacity. If you remember my previous article about the fastest computer in the world, the supercomputer RIKEN’s MDGrape-3 is capable of breaking the petaflop barrier, meaning it can perform one quadrillion calculations per second.

This monster is used to design drugs for the pharmaceutical industry, conducting molecular dynamics simulations to determine the effect of any chemical compound on your protein-bonding structures in your body – all within a matter of about two seconds. Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but it would seem this computer – brilliant as it may be otherwise – still lacks some basic knowledge about how your body works, and hence spits out information that results in rather deadly drugs.

I strongly believe modern medicine needs to reduce their blind faith in technology being able to create magic Band-Aids, and return to some more basic principles of what creates, and maintains optimal health. Because their current ideas just aren’t working.
