Finally -- Ron Paul Makes Front Page of NY Times

Not long ago, I reported on how supporters independent of Paul’s campaign raised $4 million online, and an additional $200,000 over the phone in a single day -- a record among this year’s Republican candidates. That support has had even more results than the money alone, since Paul says it has caused an additional “$10 million worth of free publicity.”

It has landed him both on Face the Nation (see Paul’s masterful handling, and sincere responses to tough questions in the video above), and in a front-page story in the New York Times (please see the link below.)

What Can Ron Paul Do For Your Health?

Ron Paul supports all the basic principles of the Constitution – including limited government involvement.

What does this mean for your health?

Just as I encourage you to Take Control of Your Health, Ron Paul seeks to maximize your individual freedom, including those basic rights that pertain to your health.

Already, Paul has introduced The Health Freedom Protection Act, which would strongly and positively affect Mercola.com and many other natural health organizations and advocates, along with the field of natural health in general. This bill would curb restrictions imposed by the FDA and FTC regarding health claims for dietary supplements, preventing the FDA from censoring truthful claims about the curative or preventative effect of dietary supplements.

The fact that we need serious healthcare reform, and wider access and education about preventative health, is nothing new. Ron Paul understands these issues, and as President, he would have even more opportunities to introduce positive, and much-needed, change in the health-care arena. In terms of your health, Ron Paul:

  • Wants to expand the ability of Americans to use alternative medicine and new treatments.
  • Opposes legislation that increases the FDA‘s legal powers.
  • Believes the government should never have the power to require immunizations or vaccinations.

What Can YOU Do to Support Health Freedom?

If you agree with Ron Paul‘s message of freedom and liberty then JOIN THE CAUSE!

I have never donated to any politician in my life. However, I am going to break that pattern now by contributing to the next Ron Paul drive on December 16th. If you are considering donating to Ron Paul do NOT do it until that time.

You see, it is NOT directly about the money. He is only going to use the money to gather media attention, and by collecting so much money, he gathered millions of dollars of media that he could never afford to buy. This helped spread his message about freedom and liberty, and the lack of which that is currently enslaving the U.S.

If you can‘t afford to donate that is no problem. What you CAN do is SPREAD the word.

Search my site for previous Ron Paul videos and send them to ALL your friends and relatives, and encourage them to sign up for the December 16th campaign.

1.3 million people receive this newsletter. We CAN make a HUGE difference. If only a small fraction of you spread this message in your networks, your communities, and at work, just imagine what we can do.

So inform everyone you know, and have them join the Ron Paul Boston Tea Party Campaign on December 16th, which is the celebration of the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in which the founding fathers of the U.S. made a difference that ultimately freed them from the largest military force on the planet a that time.

If you saw the amazing water buffalo video you can start to realize that if we all unite we really do have a chance to overthrow the lions that are trying to eat us alive .

RON PAUL FIGHTS POWERFUL PLUTOCRACY

Rep. Ron Paul is gaining steam in his presidential campaign and the establishment is preparing to stop him at any cost. His fundraising statistics reveal a blossoming, movement that is uniting concerned citizens from across the political spectrum.

His performance in the media has been sharp, and his organization is honing its message. When evaluating his chances, it’s important to understand contemporary America: This is not a democracy and not a constitutional republic.

America is a carefully concealed oligarchy. A few thousand people, mostly in government, finance, and the military-industrial complex, run this country for their own purposes. By manipulating the two-party system and influencing the mainstream media, this oligarchy works to secure the nomination of its preferred candidates (Democratic and Republican alike), thus giving voters a “choice” between Puppet A and Marionette B.

Unlike the establishment’s candidates, Paul is a freelancer running on specific ideas. The federal government must function within the strict guidelines of the Constitution, should deconstruct its empire, withdraw troops from around the world, reestablish a foreign policy based on noninterventionism, abolish the Federal Reserve, eliminate fiat currency and return to hard money.

This is not a political agenda or party platform. It is a revolution.

Hey there Christian Ryan D.O. ~ Ron Paul is pro life as am I (I believe pro life to be a fetus and an adult, like our military) but he doesn't want the federal government involved in the decision making process about abortions. He wants it at the state level where it should be. Out of the 50 states, I bet all of them will not make abortion illegal; especially the one I am in, New York. Don’t let one issue decide the fate of this whole country. Ron Paul is the best MAN for the job … and I am a woman. Besides, a woman should make her decision before she has the chance of getting pregnant, as is why there are so many abortions in the first place; the woops I can always kill it really has to go. I am not talking about rape and such.

Thanks for your comment, L.J. I would consider myself pro-choice, but your pro-life ideas make sense.  It should be up to the individual states.  Maybe then we can take a look at what works best in each region and get both unwanted pregnancy and abortion rates to fall.

It was an issue that made me feel hesitant to support him, but this allowed me to see the issue more clearly.  The only other thing I don't agree with Paul about is nuclear power.  I'm not necessarily condemning nuclear: I just know how our government does things and don't want them in charge of something so potentially destructive. Read up on what happened in the tri-cities area of Washington.  The government took Native American land and said they could have it back when the project was finished.  The whole area was completely destroyed.   Radioactive waste was stored in massive holes carved out of dirt. Of course, they leached out.  The whole region is a disaster.  Then we had to pay to clean the mess up. Unbelievable.

Why should the baby of a rape be killed? If you are pro-life, you are a hypocrite. That is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard! If you don't believe in the right for women to choose to abort a pregnancy than don't have an abortion, but don't say that there are just a couple of cases where the baby would deserve to die!

What does that poor little baby have to do with the way it came to be? It’s not its fault and I would think especially someone that is pro-life would not say something so stupid!

I have observed over time that the folks who are opposed to Ron Paul are usually the same people who have been duped by the "official" story regarding 911. .... Too many citizens of this country have still not woken up to the reality of what is happening in the halls of power. .... George Bush senior gave speeches years ago declaring the "elites" vision of a One World Government,.. which at the time he referred to as; "One World Order".

There are too many among us who still do not realise that they are being manipulated and lied to every day,.. and all with the intentions of leading the nation and the world towards this one world government which has been in the works for a long time. They also do not realise that the most important issue facing this nation at this time is the restoration of the rule of The Constitution Of The United States. We are in the process of losing our freedom and the destruction of the Republic. Ron Paul is keenly aware of this and is all about stopping it. It is the one crucial issue that overshadows all others, and that is why Ron Paul is so popular:

“We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent.”

Paul Warburg

Council On Foreign Relations and architect of the Federal Reserve System

In an address to the Senate

2/17/1950

--------------------------------------------------------------------

“The real truth of the matter is as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.”

“These international bankers and Rockefeller Standard-Oil interests, control the majority of newspapers and the columns of these papers to club into submission or drive out of public office officials who refuse to do the bidding of the powerful corrupt cliques which compose the invisible government.”

President Theodore Roosevelt - 1933

That is not true. There are plenty of those who question 911 events who are opposed to Ron Paul.

Once and for all Ron Paul is not anti-abortion politically, he advocates States making this determination which means that We the people decide on this issue.  Again it's the Constitution speaking not Ron Paul. And by way those who keep going on about splitting votes obviously don't even know what party ticket RonPaul is running on.  How can Ron Paul split the vote when he is running on a Republican ticket?  Get your facts straight!  You only embarrass yourself with your ignorance!  Thank you Dr. Mercola for endorsing the only choice we have if we care at all about our health.

This is the man we have long needed in office. Someone who actually believes the Constitution is the supreme law of the land and will fight to bring the government back in line with the principles that our founding fathers believed in.

Dear Dr. Mercola,

I don't thin you're up on the latest from the RP campaign. Here's the latest letter from his HQ's:

November 20, 2007

During the first few days of October, we announced our fundraising goal for the fourth quarter: $12 million raised by December 31.

But there’s more: we need to have spent it by then, too.

If we were to raise the entire $12 million in the last week of December, we would meet our fundraising goal for the quarter. But Ron Paul would stand little chance of winning the Republican nomination, because that money would have come in too late.

Time is of the essence. You see, we need to raise money well before we plan to spend it. That’s because most of the expenditures that we make need to be paid for weeks in advance. For example, we need to buy crucial airtime for the end of December right now.

The sooner we raise this money, the sooner that we can spread Dr. Paul’s message - our message - in the early primary states. Time truly is money.

Fact is, we only have about two weeks to raise money for the early primaries.

If you wait a month from now to donate, your money will only be spent after Iowa caucus-goers and New Hampshire primary voters have made up their minds.

We are rapidly running out of time. The Iowa caucus is just 44 days away. New Hampshire is in 49 days. With so much ground to make up, we can’t afford to waste a single day.

As a result, we are spending faster than the rate at which we are raising money. In October alone, we raised $2.8 million, but our campaign spent over $3.1 million.

We cannot afford to wait for bursts of press activity. What we need is sustained attention in the news. What better way to do this than by continuing to raise money at a rapid pace now? We need to keep our momentum going.

Help us win in New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina, and Nevada.

Make your most generous contribution as soon as you can: www.ronpaul2008.com/donate.

Yes, Dr. Mercola and others,

Please donate to the Paul campaign now and on December 16 -- do half of the amount you want to give each time so that he has time to spend it.

Also, make sure that you are registered as the correct party, Republican and change your affiliation if you have to.  Check with your state or local voting office for more information on the rules for your state.

Please vote in the primaries as well as in the main election.

This election the delegates (not the voters) will choose the Republican Party Presidential nominee!

In this election, unlike any in my lifetime, the Republican Party nominee will almost certainly be chosen by the delegates that attend the National Convention NOT BY THE VOTERS IN THE PRIMARIES.  We need 1259 DELEGATE votes at the Convention to secure the nomination.  PLEASE, all the work that Ron Paul supporters are doing is great, but if we do not fill all the openings for delegates and alternate delegates (and get them elected) all the other work we have done will be negated at the Convention.

It is of the utmost importance that the Ron Paul supporters send as many DELEGATES and alternate delegates to the National Convention as possible.

What is a delegate?

A delegate is a person that is chosen by the voters to attend the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota.  The Convention will be held September 1-4, 2008.  Those in attendance will choose the Party's nominee.  Those chosen must pay their own expenses to get there.

What is an alternate delegate?

The same as a delegate.  However, they do not vote unless the person they are assigned to as alternate is unable to attend the Convention, or is absent during a vote at the Convention.  Alternates are important because they will have a huge opportunity to persuade delegates attending the Convention to vote for Ron Paul.

What would my job be as a delegate?

To attend the Convention in September 1-4, 2008 and choose the Republican Party's presidential nominee.  That's it.

How do I become a delegate or alternate delegate?

File for the position with your states Board of Election Supervisors.

After I have file, how do I get designated as a Ron Paul delegate or alternate.

You must contact the Ron Paul headquarters (703-248-9115) and tell them that you have filed as a delegate or alternate delegate for you district.  They then choose those candidates that they want to be their designated delegates and alternate delegates for your district on the ballot.

Please pass the word to all fellow Ron Paul supporters nation wide.  Our time is VERY short to get our folks registered to run as delegates or alternate delegates in some states.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

I want to thank Dr. Mercola for including discussions about Ron Paul, I knew I would vote for him before he announced his candidacy. His record is near perfect, and none of the other candidates are. For those of you who don't think Dr. Mercola should include anything about politics, you should realize that your right to eat wholesome foods depend on being political. I have been homeschooling since 1984, and our homeschool rights are a direct result of homeschoolers being very political, and fighting every time a bill comes up to undermine those rights, which happens quite often. Homeschoolers are at every state's legislature that are voting for something that is hampering our rights to homeschool, and it really works.  I pray that Dr. Mercola's exposure of Dr. Paul helps, because the biased media certainly won't. Thank you Dr. Mercola.
