I live in Michigan and try to walk 1/2 hour daily. A lot of days it is darn right dreary but I know the Sun is out there behind the clouds. Unfortunitly, the Sun only touches my face because of winter clothing. So I do suppliment with Cod Liver oil and also take VD3. I had my blood test and was told to take 2000 iu's daily, so I do. I will go have it checked again in a few months. I have fair skin. Anyway, thanks Dr Mercola for your good reminder and holiday gift.

Thanks for the article. It makes no mention of producing Vitamin D with artificial sunlight via tanning beds. Would a tanning bed membership be an acceptable alternative to real sunlight?
