Ron Paul Interview With Wolf Blitzer

Ron Paul, politics, presidential candidatesIn this December 2nd CNN interview, Ron Paul explains why he believes that withdrawal from Iraq is not isolationism. He expands on his principle of non-interventionism and why he believes the Iraq invasion was a bad idea in the first place, and a bad idea now.

They also talk about the incredible numbers of people who have been contributing to Ron Paul’s campaign, and how he may be raising more money this quarter than any other Republican presidential candidate.

There are many reasons why I support Ron Paul, but a major one has to do with his devotion to your health freedom. He believes in:

  • Expanding the ability of Americans to use alternative medicine and new treatments.
  • Opposing legislation that increases the FDA‘s legal powers.
  • The notion that the government should never have the power to require immunizations or vaccinations.

More so than any other presidential candidate, Ron Paul is trying to improve the fatally flawed health paradigm in time to benefit you and your children.

So What Can You Do?

If you agree with Ron Paul‘s message of freedom and liberty then JOIN THE CAUSE!

I have never donated to any politician in my life, but I broke that pattern and contributed to Ron Paul. If you can‘t afford to donate that is no problem. What you CAN do is SPREAD the word.

Search my site for previous Ron Paul videos and send them to ALL your friends and relatives.

There are 1.3 million people that receive this newsletter. We CAN make a HUGE difference. If only a small fraction of you can spread this message in YOUR networks, your communities, and at work, just imagine what we can do.

If you want to show your support for Ron Paul in your neighborhood, you can also get a yard sign.

If you saw the amazing water buffalo video you can start to realize that if we all unite together we really do have a chance to overthrow the lions that are trying to eat us alive.

Paul is great. Knows the truth, speaks it. Austrian school ecnonomics, libertarianism (or, classical liberalism, if you prefer) - all correct. I like & admire the guy. So, is that the point? Noooo, it is not. The presidency, not to mention all the rest of gov, is symbolic (a word that shares the same root as 'symptom' - get it?). Even if Paul wins, & even if he isn't lame-ducked for the duration (which would be all too likely), another pres - a beloved pres - was assainated for far less than this man is talking about doing. Remember that? To believe that this superficial veneer - gov - is the power source, & that it can be wrested away from its designers & redeployed, is the height of naivete. The master's tools will never dismantle the master's house. Never.

Did you hear the question about the Council on Foreign Relations and Trilateral Commission during a debate?  Someone asked Paul if he actually "believe[s] in all this" and referred to it as a conspiracy theory.  That is so silly (as Paul responds).  These things absolutely DO exist.  It's not really disputable.

What infamous vice president was a director of this group?  I heard a quote by him saying (my quote is probably off), "I didn't tell them that in Iowa when I was running for election", and the crowd boos.

I think  Ron Paul is without a doubt the best choice for president.  Guiliani's kids won't talk to him, and he and his secretary had an affair when he was married.  He is Mr. Police State, too.  You can read all this about him at wikipedia.org.

Business Week:  You have vehement new supporters. What's driving the sudden interest in your candidacy?

Ron Paul:  I think they're sick and tired of what they're getting. They've lost all trust and faith in the government. They believe in the American Dream, and they're getting a nightmare. And they're rallying behind the program I've been working on for 30 years—defending the Constitution, limited government, free markets, sound money, and self-reliance; believing people can take care of themselves better than government can. The nanny state doesn't work, the police state doesn't work, and neither does the warfare. And they know it.

In your hearts (and minds), you KNOW Ron Paul is correct!

Why not vote for Dr. Paul and encourage your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues also, and strike a true blow for freedom, truth, and light?

"Ron Paul explains why he believes that withdrawal from Iraq is not appeasement and isolationism..."

This opening statement right here demonstrates one of the things that is so wrong about this country. The slant is so blatant, yet few realize it.

Starting with the isolationism charge: Ron Paul stands for the philosophy of free, friendly trading and communicating with all. How that translates to isolationism is beyond me. On the other hand, the people who are NOT isolationist support the policies that have taken us from the most admired nation on earth to one of the most reviled. Their policies are pitting us -- isolating us -- against the world.

Next is this "appeasement". Of course, after Neville Chamberlain, no one is allowed to "appease". Just what is settling differences and signing a treaty but a form of appeasing the other side? This world is not perpetually stuck in 1938; those actors were unique, and these constant comparisons are an insult to the people who lived, fought, and died in that war. Worse however, is the fact that this appeasement charge always comes from the warmongers, most notably Bush supporters. One of the stated reasons for 9/11 (Rudy Guiliani take note) was the fact that we had military bases in the Muslims' holy land. What was one of the first things we've done since then? Removed our bases from the Muslim holy land. Was this not appeasement by the neocon definition? I submit there is nothing inherently wrong with appeasement if it can lead to peace, and just because Neville Chamberlain was wrong doesn't mean Bush was wrong to appease Osama bin Laden like he did. This action accomplishes two things:

1. It removes an aggravating factor that angers Muslims and incites some of them to violence against us (we would do well to remove other aggravating factors as Paul suggests).

2. It acknowledges that 9/11 was in fact instigated by our policies and was not just an attack because we are free.

Swami Barmi,

Ron Paul is taking on The Establishment. A groundswell of support for him might develop if people see the Inside Joke:

Ron Paul was on Glen Beck last night for 1 hour and I was so glad to see it! Glen Beck, who I expected to support Paul, has been calling him crazy for months. Maybe now that he has had a chance to hear him out he will be a vocal supporter. That would help. It seems all the other leading candidates have some star power in their corners.

He looked very tired. I am sure the campaign trail takes it's toll. Let's pray for his strength and endurance.

Hold on one second Swami, I am very appreciative for all the intelligent people here.  It give me hope for America, really it does!  However calling Environmental Organizations bad and wanting to drill in the Arctic are totally ridiculous.  I lived in Alaska for 9 years and the only reason we have ANY old growth forest or fresh fish LEFT AT ALL if because of conservation societies and Environmental protection agencies.  For your information most of them are so underfunded that it takes individuals giving over mass amounts of free time and even suffering JAIL TIME AND SENTENCES to save our dying planet.  If anything I say we need to increase our Environmental Laws by about 1000 fold... No kidding, it will be the only way our children’s children will be able to enjoy a healthy meaningfull life…think about it!

Thank you Dr. Mercola, for helping to spread the word of Dr. Paul. I was happy when I found your website and products a year ago, but knowing that you support Dr. Paul only increases my loyalty to you.

Truth, people. For anyone that believes everything they see on TV or hear from the mainstream media--wake up! You are being lied to and conditioned. Turn the TV off. Get online and do some research. Maybe you will find out why so many people are backing Ron Paul--and also why your school of thought is going to lose whether he is elected or not.

A revolution is at hand, and fortunately for this country, it's bigger than the man (Ron Paul). We are mobilized, we are organized, we are passionate, we are right and we are powerful. Is it wrong for me to want to defend your right to disagree with me? I don't think anyone here can dispute that.

Go Ron Paul!!!

I'm a Canadian from near Toronto, Ontario.  The Ron Paul video is interesting in several ways.  First, I notice he breathes like a COPD pt and I wonder what his medical history is like.  Second, he dropped a comment about protecting 30 billion dollars worth of oil with 40 military bases in the middle east.  Third, he makes the distiction between "protectionism" and "interventionism"

It blows my mind that my beloved neighbours to the south will piss away 400 billion dollars (and counting), plus thousands of lives (and counting) to protect a measly 30 billion in specialty oil interests.   If you guys had spent that coin on R & D for energy alternatives, the rest of the world would be SCRAMBLING to get a piece of the action.  A fraction of that would have set up universal health care.  You could have had a program in place to relocate everyone threatened by rising sea levels, or a program for infrastructure replacement.  (The list goes on.)  And I suspect that if you spent Another 400 billion on this stuff, the prosperity it would create would wipe out the massive debt the well-oiled war machine has manoeuvered you into.

It's time for the people on the street to get Really, Really Mad at the arms and oil industries, who are Sucking You Dry, while creating the self-perpetuating need for homeland protection.  The two things that you Americans have always done right is that you have it set up so that bad politicians can't stay in office forever and, most importantly, eventually you Always do the right thing.

medic,

I agree with you completely.  What a horrible waste of resources which would have been more valuable in ANY other enterprise they could have chosen - instead a few dozen of the wealthiest, most corrupt in our country has been allowed to loot the treasury.  All this was done under the approving eye of our ultra right-wing media who allowed all this to happen without comment and even help conceal it in many cases.

This was allowed to carry on with the consent of the "spectators" who had the power to change it.  I often wonder why someone hasn't simply arrested them for crimes against our constitution.

Thanks for the compliment...it's true, we need to take to the streets and take back our country, just remember that "they" have been lying to us for so long it's hard to get people on the path of truth!  They have hypnotized people with the television and media...there are many awake now, and still more awakening, and we are gathering in groups and we WILL TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY FROM THESE WARMONGERING, PSYCHOPATHS THAT ARE CURRENTLY HOLDING OUR GOVERNMENT AND COUNTRY HOSTAGE!  The SLEEPING GIANT IS "WE THE PEOPLE", not 'We the Government officials'...WE ARE AWAKENING!!!!  BEWARE OF OUR FURY!

I know this is really off topic but here I go... My wife is Russian and her Green Card was denied.  We tried to reopen the case but after 5 months of waiting they refused to reopen her case.  The reason I am writing this here is that there are a lot of really smart open-minded people on this website and I know someone out there at the very least has some good suggestions.  However I am already making my game plan on how to live a healthy life in Russia.  Does anyone know specifics about how healthy their food is?  I have drilled my wife on this but she is not familiar with that vast conspiracy of poisons our governments and corporations throw at us!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you all Love and Peace...

Charles Rangles (D-New York), a member of the trilateral commision, reintroduced his draft bill which would allow the government to draft anyone from 18-42, both male and female with no exemptions other than high school students under 20 who have not yet graduated. This is the same bill he introduced a few years ago that was defeated. If this administration is determined to expand the conflict in Iraq to the wider Muslim world, then more soldiers are going to be needed than are currently volunteering. If this bill passes we could see entire families marching off to war side by side. We have to get out of this Iraq business before that happens.
