Everyone keeps asking, “Are we in a recession?” but few actually state the answer. The media and our U.S. leaders just keep dancing around the issue. But look at the facts: the last year home prices fell the way they are today was 1941 -- the year the United States entered World War II.Unscrupulous, predatory lenders and the creation of the subprime market have created a downward spiral that threatens to swallow many Americans whole.Entire U.S. cities are being devastated by the predatory lending practices facilitated by Wall Street. It is no longer just inner cities or low-income families being affected. Everyone, from the poor to the wealthy, is being hit by this crisis. Many U.S. economists are convinced that a recession is inevitable, as the mortgage crisis is FAR from having peaked. In fact, it is still in its infancy. And in this interview, Jim Rogers, the CEO of Rogers Holdings, explains how current government policies will cause even greater inflation and a massive recession.I agree with Rogers, most likely the situation will get far worse before it gets better.
If you still believe that the dollar is strong and the United States is destined to be an eternal superpower, think again. After watching this video, and the must-see videos in the related articles below, I’m sure you’ll have a far more realistic view of the U.S. situation.
Hey there,
This is the very first time I have commented in any kind of forum but the time has come, I believe, where ordinary people must become educated to what is happening in their world and what is to come if we sit idly by. Perhaps it's too late already. You are a great nation of great people, and if you fall, God help us all. The event you are seeing at large, with the supposed war on terrorism, the unravelling of the financial markets, the erosion of your constitution and your rights as free citizens and creation of a police state have been planned at length and are being implemented with precision and timing. For an example look at the history of the creation of the Federal Reserve, who created it and why. An excellent reference to this would be Ed Griffin's "The Creature from Jeckyll Island, A Second Look at the Federal Reserve". It can be gleaned from this work and the work of many well researched authors, jounalists and documentary film makers that we are under dilberate attack from all angles with the final intent of complete and total control of our society and the world at large by a few very well financed individuals, groups and families. This has been the case for some time, but is now culminating at a frightening pace. Do the research yourself, look at the evidence, stop being distracted and by controlled mainstream media and a puppet government. The very Democracy you stand for and fight for no longer exists. We are all becoming slaves both financially and through a loss of freedom. And the worst is yet to come. Take a hard look at the new legislation that has been passed without your input or approval such as the Patriot Acts 1 & 2. They are designed to strip you of your very rights and freedoms guaranteed under the constitution. Those of us who are not Americans but stand with you as brothers and sisters are praying for you to wake up and take back your country from those who would enslave and oppress us all. We look to you. God Bless America
friend of freedom, well said. My response? Affirmative.
excellent post! Couldn't have said it better myself. Turn off the TVs and do some research!
I just canceled my satellite service. Why pay hundreds of $$ to be fed propaganda?
Amen Friend of Freedom!
Anyone else notice the similarity of our current situation to "Atlas Shrugged"?
A few more resources are: "Against Leviathon" by Robert Higgs and "The Road to Serfdom", by F.A. Hayek.
And hats off to you mrsptrrabt!!! Yes, Ron Paul is still in the running. There are a lot more people joining the Ron Paul Revolution than most people are aware of. PLEASE become one of them! Mr. McCain (the manchurian candidate) will be another disaster.
These words could never have been said better by anyone and the truth is we as Americans are too into Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Pariss Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan, to be concerned about what goes on in Washington. Many Americans have no idea who their elected representatives are in Washington. And if you were to ask them what "Habeas Corpus" is as far as our freedoms are concerned many of these proud Americans cannot tell you. Ask them what water boarding is and how it came to be in the news, they cannot tell you. Sad.
As goes America, so goes Canada, and Mexico. If we as Americans, refuse to get a grip, we will make more of a mockery of America than we already have. We spend too much time with our lying media, and too little time trying to find the truth. CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, and the like are not going to tell you much of anything because their main reason for being is distract or give you misleading information. Example: "A study by a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, says we do not need 8 glasses of water a day. Even more water has no positive effect on the state of your health." Make since? Given the fact most of our make up as humans is fluid. Theis is the type of misleading reporting that is coming from our news media.
God knows we as Americans need to cease keeping up with the Joneses, and start looking at what our Government is doing to rob us of our freedoms. Covertly though it may be, but the robbery is real. Real, and dangerous. Back to that "Habeas Corpus," this means if our "Nutt Job" president decides you have said something offensive, he may throw you into prison, without explaination, nor contact with family or a Lawyer, and it becomes so what. You have no said rights. We were led to believe this was only for terrorists, no. This cancellation of Habeas Corpus extents to us all.
Small example, yes. But remember Hitler started out making noise in a beer hall, and he and like minds made it national call. Wake Up.
flbooks. Keep up the hope. There are many people across this country that are still fighting and will continue to fight for this country to save us from the *** that have taken over so many facets.
There are people who are becoming delegates for RP in many states. Have you tried that where you live?
It is true that some have given up but were they THAT dedicated to his message as they thought they were? So many have said that they like him and what he says but they are afraid that their vote will not count. So, voting for anyone else WILL count? For what?
If we would ALL vote our conscience he would win in a landslide. Diebolt or not.
If enough people just forget what the super delegates say is possible and vote for Ron Paul, even if and when he loses, the winner might view his opinions as popular with the American people and proceed as such. Maybe even adopting some of his better ideas like "Dismantling the I.RS. building and actioning of the bricks" And yes, getting rid of the Federal Reserve. A boy can dream!
Yes people stop watching American TV ; aljazira actually makes more sense and I am not kidding find out for yourself
Yes we need to abolish the Federal Reserve because that weak in the knees president Woodrow Wilson robbed future generations of Americans of a true democracy, and made this nation a fascist nation. All wealth in this nation is under private control, and our Capitol Hill career "Dunces" have a stake in keeping things just that way. Though I have no endearing respect for this actor president Ronald Regan was the last president to call for reform of the Federal Reserve, and some say that was the true reason for the attempt on his life. Who knows.
As long our wealth is false, and we are moving to a cashless society, and money is printed at the whim of the very rich, we will remain in monatary tarouble. We need to go back to the gold standard, where money is really worth something. We need to bring real jobs back to America, and start once again to build autos, televisions, computers, and textiles in this nation once again. The people who once performed this type of work are becoming extinct.
Ron Paul (Rep. Texas) who was in the presidential race as a Republician, made the same call as did Regan, and I guess this is one reason why he never got the attention needed to make a serious run for president.
I agree, but I also believe that Americans have a " I've got mine, who cares about anyone else" attitude that fuels these and other problems. From economics to education and environmental policies, from "healthcare" to our "justice" system; greed and a lack of understanding that others lives eventually affect ours is in my opinion the crux of the problem.
This did air in US & Canada - I watched it live. Jim Rogers lives in Singapore, so it was done remotely.
