Pack of Dogs Rip Apart Alligator: Warning -- Not For the Squeamish!

Dogs and Alligator

Surprise! This one is great for everyone who needs a quick pick-me-up … I challenge anyone to NOT smile when they see this photo!

I also love it because it’s a not-so-subtle reminder to always look past the obvious. If you simply take things at face value, you may miss out on what the message is really all about!

Thanks for the picture!  I, too, was afraid of what I might see, but was too curious not to check it out!  Now I'm all warm and fuzzy

My dogs have ripped apart a squirrel, raccoon, alligator, goose, rabbit, cat, monkey and even a clown.  Yes, they are fierce little corgis, and I love them to death.  I would not take a photo of their actions and post it on the web!  Too gruesome!  I try to keep the fate of these poor creatures secret from them when they arrive at our home. :)

Many years ago I acquired a "wild" dog.  This was a dog that had been running with a pack of wild animals up in the mountain areas of Palm Springs.  I brought this dog home and thought I had it under control.  It attacked my white pillow which I thought was funny,  I didn't realize that it didn't know the pillow was a pillow.  One evening(about a week later) I came home after a day at work and found my tiny kitten "Smidgen" dead.  Smidgen was a Siamese kitten (white) and I had not realized that the dog was attacking the pillow and thinking it was a real living creature.  It broke my heart.  Long story short, I believed in the dog (Che Cherie) and kept her despite what she had done and she turned out to be a beautiful, gentle, sweet dog.  But I made a terrible mistake thinking that her attacking a pillow was funny and it cost me the life of a beautiful little cat.

Wow! Totally Psyched me out! I wasn't gonna check this link, but I decided that if I just scroll down before the picture loads, and just read about it, I'll be good.

..."SURPRISE!"

...good night! Thanks for the psych out!

...unfortunately, I can't find the laughter:) But a smile beamed across my face when I saw the cute little puppies!

Ok, bracing self for a flood of negative points from the ill-wishers I clearly have acquired at this site. I did not laugh, or even smile, when I saw the picture. Yes, it's cute. Yes, it was a slight surprise. Nothing wrong with it, certainly; very cute, very pleasing to look at and all that.

Perhaps it's because I always DO look past the obvious that I am not easily surprised. Perhaps that's also the reason that I seldom smile.

Lady Pam,

I'm not giving you any negative points, but I do suggest that you find some hilarious comedies to watch.  Laughter is the best medicine for the soul, spiritm, and body, and is very healing.

Curlilox, thanks for your response.  And thanks for the advice; it's very kind of you and so true that laughter is essential and very good for us.  Humour is essential to stay even remotely sane in today's world.

I do watch hilarious comedies - a lot. I love them, they make me laugh (sometimes out loud) and I have a great sense of humour.

The only reasons I even posted this above were that the Good Doc said he challenged anyone not to smile at it (I didn't) and he mentioned looking past the obvious (which I do). But then, I'm strange.

The negative points thing is about a couple of people clearly bullying on here: especially in the recent comments to an article about genetic predisposition for happiness. Check back and it's obvious; every single time I said that something bad had happened to me - it doesn't make any sense at all! Doesn't really matter but it hurt a lot at the time. And since then, someone is continuing to 'ding' me no matter what I say: agreeing or disagreeing, offering carefully considered advice or sympathising, even when I compliment someone who's been given lots of points for saying something: a one-line "You're so right" response from me is shot down. It's too obvious: someone's targeting me and it's cost me my 'Apprentice' (yellow) status. That does irritate me a bit, as a student nutritionist; I have tried to help a lot and contributed a lot on here. Who knows why: to punish me for being depressed? To punish me for saying EFT hasn't helped although I've tried very hard with it (and still do)? To punish me for being poor at the moment? Maybe it's just an animal thing, destroying the weak & injured, or maybe that other user was right when he said my intellect was wasted in here. But never mind. Despite the bullies, I shall continue to follow my own creed of trying to help others and trying not to judge and condemn.
