Did You Know All the Drugs in Your Milk?

Until we all put enough pressure on Congress and the Justice Department to end the cozy relationship between the drug/chemical companies and the FDA, money will rule. Currently the FDA is just a lackey arm of these companies, the nation's health be damned. I eat only grass fed beef, local farmer raw milk, try to avoid processed and genetically modified foods, but it is becoming more & more difficult. At 73, I don't know how much longer I can remain an all-star league softball player by avoiding medicines and the kind of crap they try to feed us. It takes a lot of study time and energy to try to eat healthy.

Cannot get unpasteurized milk yet, but I can now get unhomogenised milk in the supermarket. It is almost twice the price of the long life milk I was purchasing previously, but I like it better. I heard that homogenised milk can cause problems because the fat globules become too small.

As for Monsanto, I think that these people, their accountants and spin doctors and all those in positions of influence that state there is no harm or otherwise show approbation towards Monsanto, and/or who try to suppress any findings that show otherwise.........should be the test subjects for these products, condemned to eat the Monsanto food and wear the Montanto fibres, and only able to access unaltered foodstuffs where Montanto hasn't already 'created' its GM version.

Have them reside in a village near Montanto HQ, be actually personally involved in the sowing, harvesting etc and ensure that each of them has a regular and documented physical.

As a control group find someone of the same age, genetic and dietary background etc as a participant, and ensure members of the control group eat no GM food, and wear no GM fibre. Run the trial for at least 20 years, and compare each member of the Monsanto clique with their comparison in the control group.

If at the end of this time the health status throughout the trial of both groups has remained similar, THEN rerelease the products back onto the world stage. Otherwise make the patents on these products void, and their further production illegal without a long term trial.

Wasn't this story posted on this website not too long ago - seems like this is happening a lot lately.  Maybe the doc is running out of new stuff.

Who owns Monsanto well it is a public company listed on the New York Stock exchange. Subsidiary companies are list on most of the world’s stock exchanges.

The Parent company has about 555,002 million shares so anyone with a spare $115.26 can own one share that is if they will allow you to buy just one share.

Every week it is something new that we must avoid, suspect, or fear because of, let's face it, the real truth, the money greeders.  It's all about more money for the producers of these goods.Now it is milk, This is a sad situation, not only for the ones consuming this injected milk, but for the poor cow who is helpless to do its natural, God-given thing.  Man would destroy or alter anything that didn't profit his pocketbook.

If these cows are subjected to diseases, tend to their food source and care for them the way we are supposed to care for our own. Why is it that we never had these problems 20 years ago? The cow has been one of the main food sources to man.  It is a gentle animal and is the most sacrificial to us.  Is anything respected in this life??  Then as they are being led to the slaughterhouse when they are no longer able to produce, they are slammed in the head and pulled like they deserve no humane kindness.  What is this world coming to? And, where is the kindness and respect for humanity?  It must be the greed of that other God that is mentioned that causes so much destruction...MONEY!

Unfortunately, money trumps people and it takes forever for people to mass enough influence to make any difference.  We win a few here and there, but many will suffer until change occurs. Information is the key! The information is there, but not enough people are looking. It's just to bad!

What law, what control, and what fantasy we all live in; a huge theatrical. I'd rather be a protected/free animal, hec, there are none of those, either, excluding the almighty american eagle and ants..Monsanto sounds like a world-wide drug king, to say the least, hec, even the mafia, are saints in comparison.  

I do believe that Purdue U says that our milk causes cancer and heart disease.  Is no one listening?

The only practical way to deal with Monsanto is if someone takes the time to type out a list of products that contain Monsanto's chemicals.  HIT EM WHERE THEY LIVE!!!!  The same is true with banks that are at the root cause of this inflating economy.  Do business with a small local bank.  I guess you could call that "buycotting."  This seems so ludicrous that the super rich need hundreds of millions of dollars to survive.  The only thing we can derive from that is that they enjoy killing us by their demand for the almighty dollar.  They don't know how to enjoy the finer things in life.  There are several states with laws that allow the sale of raw milk and yet some dairies that don't sell raw milk and when you can find it costs around $8 to $9 a gallon.

I clicked on your link for the book  'Got (Genetically Engineered) Milk?' but the link is dead.  When I next tried to find that book on amazon and alibris, they did not have it.  Any suggestions on how/where to get that book?  I want to give it as a present.

As a milk lover living in the big city, where do I find a local farm to purchase raw milk...It`s time for the true blue farmer to bring back the farms to the big cities..Find the land, get a government grant, $$$, cultivate & prove that you are creating a worthy cause in a heavily populated city such as New York....As the successful Nike corporation explains simply,   just do it!!!!

Hey Julieanne, not all raw milk is illegal, I am using Raw goats milk, from a local goat dairy near Newcastle NSW. Very beneficial, and tasts very good too.

I am sooo happy to be living in my "lesser developed island". We always have raw milk available . I grew up with many members of my family or neighbours having a cow or two and fresh cow's milk was always welcome and available. When I drank pasteurized cow's milk , I had a lot of mucous.but this does not happen when I drink the raw cow's milk. It is legal and avilable at farms or the grocery.

Who to believe about anything? I get so confused. Coffee is good for you, then, no it isn't.  And that goes with most things.  So, I grow my own vegetables and fruit in my backyard after tearing out the grass...I found that I couldn't eat the grass!  I buy only the necessary things, such as meat and keep an eye on the additivites in that.  I lived in Holland with my Dutch husband for ten years and learned so much about being frugal and raising my own food. We were able to live in a small home on the rented garden from April until October, and I couldn't believe the wonderful taste of the home-grown food. Now, we do it in California, right next to the freeway!  And while I was gone, what happened to America?  I'm so sad with the way it is now, but will keep my little corner of the world as free as I can from the money-vultures in Washington. And lobbyists...don't even get me started on them.  Shame on Congress!

Relative to the story, I am finally on raw milk and they will have to shoot me to keep me away from it! I love it!

The crop to watch out for is Corn as it spreads the GMO's.  Tobacco used in the same application of producing Cancer destroying product from a protein grown in the Tobacco in  six months.  The Tobacco is not a crop to worry about uncontrolled spreading.  I like the new Cellulosic Ethanol not from Corn (which depleats ground water much less food for others) but from 5 strains of native prairie switchgrass which like shade grown coffee is bird or in this case mammal and bee and bird friendly plus you don';t need to water a field once laid out.  This is what we are gearing for now in Minnesota now that we sensibly ignore the subsidies and gear up all the plants for this and also Woodchips and yard waste.

Maine dairies do not use rBGH and proudly say so on their packaging. (Monsanto tried and failed to make such statements illegal). Supermarkets have customer comment cards; if enough people submit a card protesting rBGH, eventually someone at the top listens, and things change. There is power in many voices.

I rarely use fluid milk, but I'm fortunate to have a certified raw organic dairy near me where I buy enough rich summer butter to last all winter. Good thing there are no jobs here, or y'all would be flocking to my state!

I wish we could buy raw milk in Australia - it is illegal, and not even small farmers take the risk of selling it.

I heard something recently that sounded nasty. Most dairies add a cheap, watery substance  called permeate to the milk, which makes the milk go further. I checked the brand I used to buy, and luckily they don't use it. After reading 'The China Study' (now on my second reading) I cut out all dairy foods, so no longer a problem for me.
