We tend to expect something to be the magic pill and always work for everything and always work perfectly.

CEDS can be time consuming (Although I understand StarTech has automated their equipment) which makes it something that is often better left to a technician to do the screening rather than the physician.

CEDS works very well at finding allergies and sensitivities, gives instant results, and is non-invasive. Because of the immediate feedback right on the computer screen, it gives clients a visual idea of how their bodies react to different foods, etc. Muscle Response Testing can do the same but you need samples in vials which may not always be available.

Plus, even though I am not an expert on using the device, I have screened several people who had been to the top medical professionals in the area and were not helped. In one case I found that the man had creosote in his system and upon questioning him found out that he had a ventless heater in the room where he had done all his weightlifting. In another case a woman who has been ill with chronic fatigue for three years was screened by me. The equipment picked three specific chemicals. All three chemicals were used in farming and were stored in the basement of her house.

If there are many items that need to be screened, muscles fatigue more easily than the acupuncture point on the hand that I use.

The muscle response test is also cheaper and doesn't change with technology.

All of medicine depends on asking the right question. CEDS is extremely useful when you really have no clue what that question might be.

  Mamabear, we're on the same page. Energy is all around us, Magnetive energy and EFT, energy points(Merdians) These 2 energy items keep our organs in balance, therefore, we stay healthy. It's a good idea to understand Energy Medicine. but it's not absolutely nessarary to completly understand how it works, with the caring help of people like Dr. Mercola and you, It's good enough. As a very simple example; When we are about to enter a dark room, 1st. we turn on the light switch,we don't have to know how the switch/light bulb work, do we?  Good input, helps stimulate my brain!

I agree that the govening system of the physical body (Autonomic Control System) can heal; as you say, colds, flu, ear aches and asthma, etc.; but there are no limitations in Energetic Medicine.  The body (ACS) can heal anything that is disrupting balance, function, or process!....In any body,...Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual.....It has no limitations!

...Including, torn ligaments, worn cartilage, or cancer!

Once one understands the concepts of Quantum Mechanics and they begin using a Bio-energetic System (like JMT, NMT, or ELT) and start seeing results; they will soon realize that there is nothing that they cannot heal!
