Actually I think Kennedy had it right... what we can do for our country, in this case, is to stir up a ruckus that forces the pharmaceutical companies to remove mercury, aluminum and other toxic gunk from vaccinations.
Re: the article in Mothering magazine, aluminum may be one contributing factor, and I appreciate your mentioning it, but of course that doesn't rule out mercury and mitochondrial disorders. Conditions like autism may have a number of contributing factors. The important thing I think is to avoid vaccinations till any materials that may be harmful, are removed.

Nils -- it reminds me, strangely, of the original Batman movie (back in 1989). The Joker poisoned a bunch of differing products all used together. So deodorant or hairspray by themselves were fine, but when mixed they were deadly.
Not so unlike that movie, it seems that some children may receive a perfect storm of toxins combined with a natural susceptibility. And there could be other factors involved; maybe the children were already fighting off a little cold or something of that nature. Who knows?
Either way, enough is enough...but you won't ever hear that here in the U.S. due to all the liability. That's what dictates everything in the U.S. They'll NEVER confess an issue like this. Instead, they'll work quietly behind the scenes to change things little by little. The public will be told that any changes are simply better, more modern approaches when the unseen facts are that they're simply working to save face and big money. But untold damage is done in the meantime.

There's a term for this: "toxic synergy."
Are you familiar with the term LD 50? It refers to the amount (Lethal Dose) of a substance that will kill 50% of a population - say, 100 rats.
Here's a real example, though I forget the substances - one of them might have been lead.
Single dose of the lead = 1
Single dose of the other substance = 1
Combined dose of both = 100. In other words, combining two toxins that were minimally harmful alone produced an explosive toxicity when joined.

Five years ago, my uncle was given a flu shot at his doctors office (routine checkup). Within days he had begun loosing his footing and falling. He is an otherwise healthy 60 year old man. After several episodes (we thought he was having a stroke), my mother and aunt took him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Guillian Barret Syndrome.

He is now a crippled person, in a wheel chair or with a walker. He can no longer work or drive a car.....
He is undergoing "treatments" that may keep him from getting worse, but he will never get better.
The US government is fighting against his compensation (with their defense lawyers) and the family knows he may never get anything (money) for his loss because he may die before they can "win" the case.....
This disease (condition),Guillian Barret Syndrome can cripple, and kill people.....
Now, no one in our family will take a flu shot (I never have, being healthy enough to fight off illnesses),even my mother (who worked for MERCK)!!!!!!!

My doc and I are at odds right now because I refuse to go on statins and take Chantix to quit smoking.
But living in Michigan, the only state in the union where we cannot EVER sue a pharm for bad drugs--even if the company KNEW it was poisoning us--has made me extra cautious.
When I told my daughter's doc to mark her chart with NEVER ADMINISTER GUARDISIL, I was told I would feel differently when she approached the "appropriate age".

The government, pharmaceutical companies and doctor's associations are in this togehter. Keep us drugged, fed incomplete/harmful food & coming back for more "fixes in a pill".
Screw 'em all. Scary part is in my state parents have been brought up on charges if their child falls ill and they refused the poisonous vaccines.

Just last week I posted defending Mercola's advertising style. Today it seems a bit over the top to get exercised about others posting a link that may "result in your personal financial or commercial gain".
Also sounds like somebody is a bit touchy when it comes to "multi-level marketing schemes".
Multi Level marketing is not a scheme.
It is a valid method of distribution that is taught in university level courses and referred to by major financial 'gurus' as one of the most viable options to build wealth and move product.
There have been failures and outright frauds with the MLM method of distribution. However those failures and frauds no more invalidates MLM as a distribution method than the Pharma Cartel using television ads to facilitate the distribution of their products invalidates TV advertising as method of moving products. We don't refer to TV advertising as a 'scheme'. The individual companies are the bad actors, not the method.
MLM or Network Distribution, which I prefer, moves some of the best products that no one has ever heard of without the efforts of those distributors.
Just because someone benefits economically doesn't mean the product is no good.
I realize this is Mercola's site and his rules are his rules. Mercola doesn't want to be a medium of advertising for products outside of his supply.
Fine. How about some balance and perspective when referring to other methods of bringing valuable products to the public.
Mercola's site is one of the best things going...but it doesn't have ALL wisdom.
