Type 2 Diabetes Explosion Predicted

type 2 diabetes, overweight, friendsWhile health loss by most major causes will fall in Australia, that caused by type 2 diabetes will more than double by 2023, according to research by The University of Queensland’s School of Population Health.

Health loss was described as the “disability adjusted life year” (DALY), where one DALY equals one lost year of healthy life.

The study found that 75 percent of health loss in Australia is caused by cancer, cardiovascular disease, neurological and sense disorders, chronic respiratory disease and injuries.

While many of these factors are predicted to decrease by 2023, the researchers found that mental disorders, neurological and sense disorders, muscoskelatal disorders and, in particular, type 2 diabetes would rise.

The rise in type 2 diabetes is predicted largely based on expected increases in body mass. The researchers believe campaigns to encourage Australians to maintain a healthy body weight could help reduce the rising diabetes rates.

Dr. Mercola''s Comments Dr. Mercola's Comments:

When it comes to type 2 diabetes, I know what I am talking about. I have helped many thousands eliminate this from their lives, including yours truly. I have type 2 diabetes, but it is under perfect control.  Was triggered nearly ten years ago before I knew about nutrtonal typing and started following the Eat Right forYour Type program which have literaly killed me if  hadn' got off of it.  But for last ten years I have had near perfect blood sugar, insulin and leptin levels because I am following the Nutrtional Type program.

However, if I stop exercising and eat foolishly my blood sugar gradually rises over a few months into the diabetic range. Of course, it hasn’t done that for many years because I believe in and stay on the program.

Nevertheless, just like nearly 80 million other Americans, I have the problem.

Although this study focused on Australia, type 2 diabetes is a worldwide epidemic. In the United States, nearly 21 million children and adults have diabetes -- and another 54 million people are suffering from pre-diabetes.

This is completely out of control!

Diabetes is not a disease to ignore, as it can rob you of many years of healthy living. Yet, it is one of the easiest diseases to overcome using two, very straightforward, strategies:

Diet and exercise.

As Ron Rosedale, MD, one of the leading experts in the United States on the natural treatment of diabetes, has pointed out, diabetes is not a disease of blood sugar, but a disease of insulin and perhaps more importantly leptin signaling.

And, he says “Since most treatments for (type 2, insulin resistant) diabetes utilize drugs which raise insulin or actual insulin injections itself, the tragic result is that the typical, conventional medical treatment for diabetes contributes to the manifestation of side effects and the shortened lifespan that diabetics experience.”

The key to overcoming this disease is therefore not to focus on lowering your blood sugar by taking medications. Rather it is to maximize the accuracy of insulin and leptin signaling in your body, and this done through proper nutrition.

Even The New England Journal of Medicine has acknowledged the fact that diet and exercise can cure type 2 diabetes.

If you or a loved one is struggling with this disease, please read through the advice in my nutrition plan, and then in Take Control of Your Health.

Add to your new-and-improved diet a regular exercise program, something that gets your heart pumping and your body sweating, and your battle with diabetes will soon be over!

The article states:"

The paper by Stephen Begg, Dr Theo Vos, Bridget Barker, Lucy Stanley and Professor Alan Lopez, reports that 75 percent of health loss is caused by cancer, cardiovascular disease, neurological and sense disorders, chronic respiratory disease and injuries."

They still don't get it.  Except possibly for "injuries"  all the other diseases listed are the tip of the iceberg.  The main iceberg is hyperinsulinemia (which leads to Type II Diabetes).

Epidemics of diabetes (primarily type2), cancer, cardiovascular etc are not new, they did not begin in the last 5,10 or 15 years, they have been in the making for the last 5 decades or so and we can "thank" the powers to be that touted whole nutrituous foods like grass fed meats, eggs and good fats like olives, avocados, coconut oil etc, as BAD for you. Instead they push their low fat cereals high refined carb, vegetable oils, margarine, no good drug base crap on us......

I for one fell prey to their recommendations because i BELIEVED they had my best interest at heart, was i ever wrong and so was countless others.........Will i ever believe them again, plainly NO, and i imagine a whole others here at VV and around the globe will not either.......Bottom line is take care of yourself because i tell you nobody likely will, you got the information right here and it's free, all you gotta do is put them in action......As they say keeping healthy is 90% mental and only 10% physical, make the move now before it's to late....

Healthy New Year

I agree with all especially in the fact that the problem is here now for many diabetics that are not YET diagnosed.
I have written here before about how I beat diabetes with a change in countries only to come back to the USA and get right back on the diabetes wagon and not by choice.  GM Foods have a lot to do with this.

I am now back to being free of diabetes and will remain so by doing the things I do.
My blood tests are 100% normal and I take no meds now, when I was taking 1000 mg of Medformin in the morning and 1000 mg in the afternoon and 1000 mg at night.
To read my whole story email me:  our.healing.planet@gmail.com

Your life's priorities are the foundation for having diabetes or any chronic dis-ease.  Let me give you and example.  If  you own a car would you run it with no water in the system?  No, the car will not run with no water.  Would you let all of the gas be used up?  No, the car are will not run...well you could push it but that is not the same thing! :) :)
Would you let all the oil run out?  No, the car would not run and be ruined until you had some major work/surgery done.

If are bodies are like any other machine, why is it that we have it in such a low priority place in our lives.

We deprive it of all the things that are needed to make a good machine run correctly to maintain a good even flowing output.

I believe that when you treat your body as well or better then you treat your car you will not have dis-ease, you will have balance and an occasional detoxing experience.

I choose to put my body number 1!!!  I beat diabetes.

Oh yes, I work in the school systems as a Substitute teacher.  I am around sick bugs all day.
Yet, in 2 years back in the USA I have been sick only once and that was a detox thing.

This post is probably of little surprise to regular Vital Votes readers.

2/3 rds of all meal consumed, 365 days per year, in the USA, are consumed outside the home, and the majority are over portioned and unlabeled.

Additionally, 94 pounds per capita per annum of High Fructose Corn Syrup (directly converted to blood triglycerides or stored body fat, NOT blood glucose) HEAVILY contributes to insulin resistance, hypoglycemia, many forms of cancer, tooth decay, poor nutritional intake or nutrient absorption, diabetes, cardio vascular disease, obesity and premature DEATH.

Corrective and proactive preventative medical and nutrient protocols are REQUIRED, for better and optimum health outcomes.

And what's even more sad is that much of the Type 2 Diabetes explosion is effecting our young children.
