Do Flu Shots Work? Ask A Vaccine Manufacturer

I served 10 years in the USAF.  The first 5 was on deployment status meaning I could be sent anywhere at anytime.  Being on deployment status I was required to receive and keep up to date ALL vaccinations.  This is an USAF regulation and as a service member you can't decline.  Interestingly enough every year for 5 years when I received the required flu vaccine I would, within 24 hours, become very ill with flu-like symptoms and high fever.  The last 5 years I was not on deployment status and declined the flu shot.  I never got the flu.  Now this is not clinical, only anecdotal, but since separating from the USAF I have refused all flu shots and NEVER had the flu.  

Regardless of all of the above comments - and regardless of that interview, don't you hear what Dr Mercola is presenting to you in evidence? Perhaps you need to do some of your own research on the damage of mercury, aluminium, phenol, antifreeze, live viruses (that are supposed to be dead but are not - do some research) that mutate into new strains being injected directly into your bloodstream, not to mention that these current strains manufactured are last year's!  It takes years and years of research and thousands of documented pages to become well informed but Dr Mercola is living by his responsibility to point you in the right direction.  There are PLENTY of papers and well documented evidence published which also make explain why the truth is surpressed by pharmaceuticals and governments.  Type in key words and see you resurface in about a decade! (For those who are serious about their obligations to protect the next generation)

I got my flu shot on October 13 to appease my demanding Primary Care Provider and a week and a half later came down with a suspiciously flu-like illness.  My fault, since the same thing happened to me last year.  When I brought up reducing or eliminating some of my prescription medications, my PCP said maybe I would be happier with a Naturopath.  Maybe she's right.  I have learned my lesson about the flu shots...NO MORE!

This neophyte has had no flu shots in over 35 years - 4 a reason. I went to the CDC's web site a while back, there is a list compiled of all the ingredients in flu shots. Look at every ingredient, see if you want that material, chemical or item in your body.The data has been out there for (that I know of) 40 years. If a for profit company puts it out, if its artificial, treated, enriched, processed, ETC ETC. I see iit as some one attempting to market what nature can do on its own - if your body & environment is healthy. Yes you got ur shot, BUT read the CDC's ingredient for all materials. I see a conflict. recording or not ....the data is out there on waht all the items are. The list reminds me of cigs.

cxg 174 I applaud your dedication to the voice of the CDC and I hope you have many healthy years without the flu or Alzheimer's. I have no proof that it was the flu vaccine that damaged my mother's brain but I do know she has dementia, lives in a nursing home, often cannot remember me and got her flu vaccine every year for the last 40 years.She had your average number of colds/flu, has never really been hospitalized but was it a vaccine or just her own immunity? Could she have lived this long with all of her facilities instead of with a third of them?

I have a lot of questions but I can tell you this I will never have a flu vaccine, I work with the public(dental hygienist) and I stay healthier than most of the dental personnel in my office who faithfully truck off to a local medical office for their dose of Thimerasol and possible future of Alzheimer's.

I am a nurse who does not believe in many things in conventional medicine.  I have watched countless cancer patients die from so-called "treatment" and not the cancer.  You can choose to believe the brainwashed ideology from authoritarian white coats or you can pick up books and studies and sprout your own decision-making tree. The flu shot is wreckless and only provides a number of companies with more profits.  After caring for a Guillian-Barre patient who developed the GB from a flu shot, I have always denounced the blasted thing.  No matter what the field, whether nursing, engineering, etc., there will always be more sheep than leaders because it's the lazy way out.  No amount of money or big-named advice is worth the risk of mercury in your body.

I am wondering with all the research, why anyone still recommends these. I have seen it myself because I am also amedical professional, so I am wondering about the nurse's response.  All in peer reveiw journals showing no benefit for elderly or the young. So why are we still getting the flu shot? and still being mandated in some cases? I see so many people who get sick after they take it. Why would I take it? The studies show it doesn't work. Studies in journals that traditional medical people tend to respect, not alternative journals.  Who cares about the phone call?I am wondering if cxg174 saw the studies in Lancet, Arcives etc etc. That is what I am looking at.

I was watching a news report last year on the ridiculous need to vaccinate every child in the U.S.. The reporter asked a representative from the pharmacutical industry why this was necessary, since most healthy people are strong enough to recover from the flu, if they do get it. The representative responded that the idea in vaccinating all people is that it is for "the greater good of all mankind", since children might be more likely to spread germs to immunocomprised people, such as infants or the elderly. I refuse to injure my child or my family for "the greater good" , it makes no sense to me.

Better than a Flu Shot!

Flu vaccine can only defend against known virus strains which are now not in circulation.  A flu epidemc would come from a new strain not included in standard vaccine.  Of course the drug companies claim that the vaccine would still help, but that claim appears to be based on wishful thinking rather than fact.  ADD/ADHD/autism has reached epidemic proportions. Thiomersol has been removed from MMR due to public demand, but the dug companies say there is no association (but they would say that because they stand to lose a fortune).  I think it is discusting how the medical profession prey on peoples' fears.  People take the vaccine out of fear.  My mother had a flu vaccine.  Was very ill in bed for two weeks with flu like sympoms.  Less than a year later she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 84.  Must have been a coincidence. I've refused the vaccination for 10 years now - never even had a cold.  It is good to keep your vit D up, but the doses Jo is recommending are scarey.  Too much vit D all at once is toxic to the liver but RDA is a meagre 400 IU, approx the amount found in a tsp of cod liver oil. A can of tinned salmon contains 2800 IU. Vit D is stored in and has to be activated by the liver: it is much better to take lower doses over a longer period of time.  You can also build up reserves by getting sun in the summer.

Even if I wasn't a biased, yet informed doctor (chiropractor), the evidence against vaccines (outside of medically based data), shows that the immunization information out there is bunk.  I have an anthropological background and if you follow the decline of the prevalence and incidence of any disease, you will find that it directly cooresponds with the introduction and refinment of public health technologies. Clean water and not being surrounded by poop go a long way in building health. GO FIGURE!!  It is only after WWII that the pharmeutical takes credit for this 200+ year long trend.  

I will also pose this question:  If I tell people (patients or not) not to get vaccinated-what do I gain? Answer- NOTHING, only healthier fellow human beings!    One more question: When the pharma industry promotes, markets, leverages and scares people into vaccinations, what do they gain?     $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I worked in a skilled nursing facility as a CNA and saw the upswing of illnesses after patients received their vaccinations.  Another misuse of medications occurs in assisted living facilities.  The medications there are distributed by caregivers who are not trained and not even CNAs.  When I worked in assisted living facilities, I often found that those distributing medications bordered on illiteracy.  The caregiver will force the helpless resident of that facility to take their medication because if the resident refuses, then the caregivers ability to do her job will be questioned by management or even her coworkers.  There are more and more assisted living facilities being built and more people, who already feel insecure about their aging issues, are being placed into a community where they feel the social pressure to get flu shots or whatever else is the pharma industry's latest money making system.

I only got one flu shot and developed flu like symptoms when I had it.  I felt it wasn't worth it anymore so I stopped getting the flu shot.  My brother is in the Armed Forces at the moment, and I don't know if he had been jabbed repeatedly.  But as for myself, I don't need the flu shot to prevent me from getting the flu.  Especially if I develop flu like symptoms.  And with mercury being contained in vaccines, I totally avoid them.

One time, a nurse asked me if I had the Hepatitis B vaccine (i.e. genital Hepatitis); I lied and said I had it.  But I didn't have it because of one reason -- I'm a virgin and I am unlikely of forming a lasting, long term relationship.  Much less even buying the services of a prostitute (I have Asperger's Syndrome, and had it since I was first vaccinated).

I was at the hospital with my son for his therapy.  The receptionists were talking about their 'required' flu shot.  According to them, the flu shot now has six strains instead of just three so there are more complications that come with it.

Am I the only one who'd rather suffer through having the flu than risk suffering through these things that are much, much worse (and more permanent)?

A physician told me that they stopped putting murcury in the flu shots! interesting huh? and you say that there are safe tanning beds? I have never heard of a "safe" tanning bed...I thought they were all harmful. I'll have to find this link on your website.

if the money and time wasted on flu shots was directed at better food, and heating for elderly and young kids at risk, due mainly to the INABILITY TO AFFORD!!!  either of these basic needs! (or alternative supplements,) then i strongly suspect that things would be better all round!

also while many nursing home residents are drugged to the gills to keep them quiet and compliant, and they aren;t allowed outside to sit or wander freely, there is no way they would see the sun or fresh air.

Policies in place, actually make them sicker!

and sadly overprotective parents also do the same to the kids, not allowed to walk to school, made to sit under cover to eat and shadecloth covered play areas.

no "dirt" to play in or with..mud pies anyone? all compromise the immune systems ability to develop properly.

in australia surveys show that farm kids with many pollens and dust etc, (sadly also farm chem) are still!! much less likely to develop asthma for eg.

i pat the dogs ,dig the yard, and then eat my lunch  whatever, and i do not carry on about handwashing.

i never get stomach issues at home. only when i eat out in supposedly sanitary food areas.

dogs and i do get a worm treatment occasionally.

i would say that tetanus would be the only jab i would consider necessary, and that only when a wound requires it, not before!

its hype and bullsh*t, and fear tactics re vacc programs! develop the skill to think for yourself. our ancestors survived and did pretty well. ok some died, but hey i reckon no more per capita than nowdays.

we have better food and housing, we work less, and most of us are a disgrace physically.

ditch the appliances and bought foods and go do some physical work.

Every year, in the five years that I worked in a nursing home, the rate of death went up AFTER they gave the flu shot to the residents. It stayed up for about 3 months afterwords. The death rate nationally would be staggering if only their was a way to track it.

my dad always took the flu, he's in his fifties approaching the 60s. every year my mom forced him to take the free flu vaccine at work. then i told them to stop and now he never feels sick or hardly is a better word. my dad also states that he's happy and also complained at how my mom forced him to take it causing him to be sick for several days after getting the vaccine.

For me i never took the vaccine cause i was chicken with needles. varicella vaccine i had to take bc it was required for college. flu for me i will never take ever!

T A K E N  A  F L U  S H O T,  A N D  I  A M  P R O U D!!!!!!!!!  I now join the ranks of my husband and my mother-in-law, who did not live to be the age of 90 by taking vaccinations, including the flu shot.  She eats right, takes  MELALEUCA  Vitamins and has the good sense to stay in when viruses are out there.  She is still quite active.  My husband and I need to make an appointment to visit her, phone her and she babysits her 2 year old  GREAT-granddaughter, regularly.  Quite remarkable, isn`t it??

Both of my elderly parents had flu shots last winter...and both caught Flu'.

However, I do have trouble with the hypothesis of Flu' being a Vit D deficiency, since on that basis we would not see large flu outbreaks in sunny climes....and that is simply NOT the case!

I worked with an ex-Air Force engineer who told me that as a rule, he never got a flu shot, because while he was in the service, he had gotten sicker that ever before in his life after receiving a mandatory shot.  Around 1998 I got the first flu shot in my life during a "health fair" at the company where we both worked. I ended up feeling achy, listless and generally sick for about six weeks after that, ruining half of November and all of December for me.  What''s the point?  Get the flu for real and feel rotten for six weeks, or get a flu shot and feel rotten for six weeks.  I'll never get a flu shot again.

maybe you only listened to the call and didn't read the post or follow the links.  There are volumes of facts, many of them directly from the CDC, that do not support the claims that flu shots work.  Maybe WebMD would suit your needs better than Mercola.com.  I guess the rest of us who are not nurses are just a bunch of stupid sheep that don't look at facts.  I hope you enjoyed your dose of mercury, aluminum and formaldahyde!

Personally I shy away from any so called flu shots, and I have family members who have "at risk" conditions, and though I have advised against them, they continue to toddle off for the yearly flu shot.  Then they wonder why they become ill thereafter.  The CDC, the FDA, and the HHS, are all BIG PHARMA puppets.  

Before you take your next flu shot, ask your physician what the true contents are of the fluid they want to inject into your body.  Most either will not or cannot tell you what makes up this garbage.  Given the fact that mercury is a known toxin, is it not irrational to use said toxin in something claimed to keep you well?

There is no video - did somebody take it off air?    Or is it only my connection that suppresses it?

It is amazing to me that in all this data, the intranasal flu vaccine is only anecdotally mentioned.  In recent studies, it has been proven to be far more effective against matched and mismatched strains than the shot... and has never contained thimerisol.  Part of the reason why so many people claim to get the flu after being vaccinated is the incubation period of the virus and the longer response time of the shot.  Thuth be told, you may have already been exposed to influenza before activation, so no shot actually "gives" you the flu, and there still remains the possibility that the WHO just didn't guess the master strain correctly.

As a nurse I want facts, not some customer service phone call to someone who has no numbers. I continue to watch this issue with interest, but for now I have to go with the CDC. I got my flu shot.
