Dr. Mercola February 19 2008 41,538 views
I have practical evidence that the mind does affect your health! I use to have very irregular menstrual cycles due to diet, environment, and my hormones being out of whack. A person in Dr. Mercola's office who does live blood cell analysis told me I need more raw fats in my diet. I implemented this and it worked. I've had my cycle regularly for 5 years except in December. Reason why? Because I have the greatest levels of stress at that time. So I know my mind and stress play a part in that. It is so amazing how powerful the brain is!
I like this article and believe it. I have fould that trully forgiving others renews my spirit and in turn makes me feel better overall.
This is why massage therapists and others that have close
contact with many people all day long need to be sure they
are aware of this as the negative energies can be transferred
to them.

Hav you heard of Echart Tolle's new books, "The Power of Now" and "A New Earth"? These are transformational. He has books and CD's, but I highly recommend these two titles. I have been making myself sick with an endless anxiety loop and Tolle's words have brought me great comfort and practical techniques for "changing the mind".
Something that caught my attention in what you said is that your aunt tells you NEVER TO OWN your fibromyalgia. That could be a hinderance in your journey to heal yourself. I am no expert on this, but I have done alot of study and application of spirituality, metaphysics, quatum physics, etc backed by science. There is a spiritual law that says "what you resist persists for you." Anything that is persistant in your life is there because you refuse to accept it.... Maybe not owning your illness keeps you a victim of it? It is something to consider. Also, try this site: WWW.Creotology.com, and subscribe to the news letter, it is free. There are mental exercises in this letter that I've found helpful in developing my mental tools of creating my life. I hope this helps you on your way to health!
BTW Wellness Mom, I just caught the comment by imwoman about The Power of Now and A New Earth. I second her recommendation for these books, I bought power of now on ITunes Audio book so I could listen to it in my car. Very good info, and I have myself felt a certain change in ego vs: awareness since listening to these books. I've found that no one book teaches it all, so if you are into reading, you may also want to check out The Craft of the Warrior by Robert L. Spencer, and definately the newsletters I mentioned before. And take care to listen to what your inner thinker says to you- these are the creative thoughts/beliefs the video talks about. Again, dont resist them, just observe that they are there and accept without fighting against them. When you see them arise just say "oh, there you are!" and then move on to more pleasant things without judging the thoughts or being drawn into contemplating what they are saying.
www.joycemeyer.org "The Battlefield of the Mind" is such a powerful book that will help you understand how to take negative thoughts captive and trust God throughout your day! Praise God daily you are on the right path to your healing and he will get you there!
I was diagnosed with fibromyralgia and eventually was unable to walk from the bedroom to the kitchen unattended. One Sunday p.m., I was lying on the sofa and began to pray intensely for God's help. I felt Him say I was to go to a nearby fitness center and swim. I could barely get there, due to pain and exhaustion. I stayed until closing, getting in-and-out of the pool, the jacuzzi and the sauna. By the next day, I could get up and resumed mobility. Then, a few months later, I went to a church where healings were taking place for prayer. Over the next few weeks, I completed Hulda Clark's parasite, kidney and liver cleanse. Within a few weeks, I recognized I was pain-free for the first time in years. The M.D. confirmed he could find no sensitive pressure points but warned it would come back. I knew it wouldn't because I had been "healed and cured." That was over ten years ago. Now, at 65, I swim a mile a week, walk six miles and pick-up my grandchildren. You can do this, WellnessMom. Fibromyalgia is a terrible thing but don't believe it's incurable. It's not. Do what you can to get rid of a toxic mind - through prayer and God's help - and a toxic body through the cleanses and a heathy lifestyle. Start with "baby" steps - do what you can and ask for God to lead you.
