How Your Thoughts Can Cause or Cure Cancer

In this fascinating video, cellular biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton explains how your thoughts, and the thoughts of those around you, can directly influence the state of your health. Amazingly, the power of your own thoughts can affect the expression of your genes -- and even potentially cure cancer and other diseases.

Dr. Mercola''s Comments Dr. Mercola's Comments:

Imagine having the power to control your own health destiny right now -- from the moment you wake up in the morning through the moment you fall asleep.

Well this is not a fairy tale. This is reality.

Thanks to scientists like Bruce Lipton, PhD., who is a forerunner in the field of epigenetics and The New Biology, the power of your mind is finally gaining the attention it deserves.

This fascinating new field breaks you free from the misguided belief that your genes control you. In reality, your genes are merely storage facilities, and they have no intelligence whatsoever. What IS important, however, is the expression of your genes.

Your Mind Can Create, or CURE, Disease

Your mind doesn’t care which one. You can think of your body as a blank page, waiting for you to tell it what to do. Unfortunately, your body is not set to some magical “good” default so that it will automatically convert all your thoughts to a beneficial result. It is completely neutral to the outcome, and only you can control the signals.

Unfortunately, most people tend to be caught up with their negative emotions. This is an easy trap to fall into as it seems to be the cultural norm. So you may easily allow fear, anxiety, anger, sadness, guilt or countless other negative thoughts to interfere with your day. Yet, when you do this, your body will manifest these negativities into physical disease.

A classic example is a woman who believes she will get breast cancer because her mother had it. Well, if you believe it for long enough, your body will make sure that it comes true. But this is far from the only example. Everything from childhood traumas to your overall outlook on life will play a role.

You have likely heard of the placebo effect -- the very real phenomenon of people becoming healed after taking a sugar pill or other sham treatment. Well, this is directly a result of your mind believing that you will get better after the fake treatment.

It is also not unusual for people to experience spontaneous remissions from cancer and other diseases simply because they have had a profound change in their beliefs or outlook on life.

But it works both ways. The “nocebo effect” refers to the fact that, just as positive beliefs can heal you, your negative beliefs can make you sick.

What are Your Thoughts Saying?

Most people, if given the choice, would like to use their mind to help heal their body. You may be wondering, if this is true, why many haven’t heard about it before.

In a word, money.

What do you think would happen if everyone started to tap into their inner ability to heal disease -- and stopped relying on drugs and surgeries? Pharmaceutical companies would lose out big time, and so they would rather keep you completely in the dark.

Your beliefs are energy fields, and they are working to promote either health or disease in your body right now. Which one is up to you.

When it comes to the ability of your mind to heal you, there are NO limitations. The sky is the limit.

However, there is something you should know. Other people can influence your perception of things and ultimately your ability to express your true beliefs.

So, perhaps you feel thrilled to have learned this information, but when you share it with your spouse or coworkers, they will not feel the same way. Their negativity could then easily transfer to you and cause you to doubt your mind’s healing abilities (thus making your mind unable to manifest healing).

I find this quite believable. I have always been an optomistic person by nature and things have usually turned out well for me. I don't think this is a co-incidence. If you have a positive attitude towards your health, you are more likely to be healthy.

I have practical evidence that the mind does affect your health!  I use to have very irregular menstrual cycles due to diet, environment, and my hormones being out of whack.  A person in Dr. Mercola's office who does live blood cell analysis told me I need more raw fats in my diet.  I implemented this and it worked.  I've had my cycle regularly for 5 years except in December.  Reason why?  Because I have the greatest levels of stress at that time.  So I know my mind and stress play a part in that.  It is so amazing how powerful the brain is!

Thoughts have their own energy, even though most people do not realize it.  That is why you tend to be drained if you are around some one who tends to complain most of the time.

This is why massage therapists and others that have close

contact with many people all day long need to be sure they

are aware of this as the negative energies can be transferred

to them.

WOW!  How powerful and how true!  Jesus also said as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.  It is also said that life and death is in the power of the tongue.  Our words and thoughts give life and they give death.  You can test this just by using Kiniesiology.  Take a person, and test him or her with their arm.  Say I love you, and the arm will hold strong.  Say, I hate you, and the arm will have no strength.  You can do this test again only by thinking the words.  You don't even have to believe what you are saying.  The energy frequencies of the words will still give the same results.  No wonder Jesus told us that we will be held in account for every idle word that we speak and that our thoughts are no different to Him than by actually doing them.  They have power.

Cancer begins in the emotions.  Negative emotions make your body acidic.  Positive and happy emotions are alkalanizing to your body.  You can use supplements etc to try to alkalanize your body, but if your thoughts are negative, everything else you try to do is in vain.  Laughter is healing!

God truly has given us some amazing gifts. We just need to learn how to use them. I grew up in a negative family environment and have struggled to look at "the glass half full" instead of "the glass half empty". I have been ill now for 8 years and I believe it is due to this mindset.

I suffer from Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue which was brought on in a stressful and negative work environment. I have even tried self-motivational tapes that you listen to while you sleep, but because of my sleep issues, they have not worked. My aunt tells me never to own the Fibro, but it is very difficult not to do.

How can I break free of this for good? I get up and start with a positive attitude, but so many things get me down during the day...my lack of health mostly. It's a huge, vicious cycle.

Any ideas on what books, cd's, anything that can help me out here?

I have found Dr. Mercola's articles on FM to be very good.

Also, this is a great FM website: http://www.fibrocoalition.org/

EFT helps with many emotional issues with FM.

I could not break free of the fatigue cycle until I gave up wheat/gluten, dairy, soy and corn.  Many FM/CFS sufferers are very wheat and dairy sensitive, so try eliminating them for a week and see how you feel.

Wheat gives me migraines and fatigue and makes my pain almost unbearable.
Dairy gives me sinus congestion and bladder infections-I literally woke up the 3rd day on a dairy-free diet and was able to breathe for the first time in years.

You are in my prayers.  You can get better-it takes time but you can heal.

Thank you Reesacat for your encouraging words. I too have found I feel better after leaving those types of foods out of my daily diet. I am so glad you have found relief from your Fibro. I have been studying a little about the EFT also. I have printing out some sessions to try.

I am a cheese loving individual and it's so hard NOT to eat it. But, I also notice I get alot of phlem in my throat after eating cheese or other dairy and anything that has a greasy texture to it.

I have also cut out as much sugar as possible because that was most of my headache and migraine triggers.

Thanks again for the encouragement and the fibro links. I'll give it a try and check the links out to see what happens.

As far as my struggle with negativeness...I was thinking...I'm home all to myself most days...I could just laugh all I wanted to, about anything, without anybody seeing me...except my dog of course...she might think I was a bit odd.

They say LAUGHTER is the BEST MEDICINE!

Best wishes for your continued wellness

Wassily,

Yes we are lucky to have her. She is a very loving girl. But she definitely loves my husband the most. She gets soooo excited when he comes home. She's a little over 6 years old, but she has been a great friend in that time. She makes me forget for awhile that I don't feel good when she starts wanting to play.

Hav you heard of Echart Tolle's new books, "The Power of Now" and "A New Earth"?  These are transformational.  He has books and CD's, but I highly recommend these two titles.  I have been making myself sick with an endless anxiety loop and Tolle's words have brought me great comfort and practical techniques for "changing the mind".

Something that caught my attention in what you said is that your aunt tells you NEVER TO OWN your fibromyalgia.  That could be a hinderance in your journey to heal yourself. I am no expert on this, but I have done alot of study and application of spirituality, metaphysics, quatum physics, etc backed by science. There is a spiritual law that says "what you resist persists for you." Anything that is persistant in your life is there because you refuse to accept it.... Maybe not owning your illness keeps you a victim of it?  It is something to consider. Also, try this site:  WWW.Creotology.com,   and subscribe to the news letter, it is free. There are mental exercises in this letter that I've found helpful in developing my mental tools of creating my life.  I hope this helps you on your way to health!

BTW Wellness Mom, I just caught the comment by imwoman about The Power of Now and A New Earth. I second her recommendation for these books, I bought power of now on ITunes Audio book so I could listen to it in my car. Very good info, and I have myself felt a certain change in ego vs: awareness since listening to these books. I've found that no one book teaches it all, so if you are into reading, you may also want to check out The Craft of the Warrior by Robert L. Spencer, and definately the newsletters I mentioned before. And take care to listen to what your inner thinker says to you- these are the creative thoughts/beliefs the video talks about. Again, dont resist them, just observe that they are there and accept without fighting against them. When you see them arise just say "oh, there you are!" and then move on to more pleasant things without judging the thoughts or being drawn into contemplating what they are saying.

I was diagnosed with fibromyralgia and eventually was unable to walk from the bedroom to the kitchen unattended. One Sunday  p.m., I was lying on the sofa and began to pray intensely for God's help.  I felt Him say I was to go to a nearby fitness center and swim.  I could barely get there, due to pain and exhaustion.  I stayed until closing, getting in-and-out of the pool, the jacuzzi and the sauna.  By the next day, I could get up and resumed mobility.  Then, a few months later, I went to a church where healings were taking place for prayer.  Over the next few weeks, I completed Hulda Clark's parasite, kidney and liver cleanse.  Within a few weeks, I recognized I was pain-free for the first time in years.  The M.D. confirmed he could find no sensitive pressure points but warned it would come back.  I knew it wouldn't because I had been "healed and cured." That was over ten years ago. Now, at 65, I swim a mile a week, walk six miles and pick-up my grandchildren.  You can do this, WellnessMom.  Fibromyalgia is a terrible thing but don't believe it's incurable.  It's not.  Do what you can to get rid of a toxic mind - through prayer and God's help - and a toxic body through the cleanses and a heathy lifestyle.  Start with "baby" steps - do what you can and ask for God to lead you.

Oh I would love to help you, I have had so much the same experience, growing up in a negative household, and suffering chronic fatigue and depression (etc...) for 10 years since leaving home... but not any more! Let me recommend a couple of things that have released me from the shackles of negativity, and brought back my happiness! (I am not affiliated with any of the following.)

The landmark Forum course, please promise yourself to do it, it will change your perspective, your thoughts, and your life. You can become a new person in a weekend. I did it and I stopped being mean to my partner, I dropped all the "stuff" I was carrying, became accepting of my father, even my face changed, and so much more.. www.landmarkeducation.com find a course in your area.

Constitutional homeopathic treatment, that means find a good experienced homeopath, and make an appointment to see them. They can help you with emotions, compulsive negative thoughts, bad habits, fatigue, fibro...whatever. It just shifts energy and gives you your normal body & mind back.

Watch the Abraham-Hicks DVD Law of Attraction in Action, this will show you how your thoughts manifest your reality, then how you can change your thoughts, then how you can use that law to magnetize anything you desire into your life. They have literally dozens of genuinely life-changing (!) books and DVDs, get whatever else makes you feel excited!

www.abraham-hickslawofattraction.com/.../LOAIA-1.html

And some final words, ask and it is given, just follow your bliss to your desires

You really can get 100% better from this and live a wonderful happy abundant life! Just you remember that. XOXO

Belief can be the most positively-driving factor in health and fitness. Believing you have optimum fitness drives behavior in the kinds and amount of nutrition you get. It also helps you self-determine you level of activity, your commitment to exercise, rest, and your relationships.

As a man thinketh in his heart...
