HUSSEY'S GENERAL STORE is 100% real and an absolute Maine treasure. Yes, you can buy beer, firearms & ammo and a wedding gown, all under one roof. Two floors, toys, tools, clothing, appliances, and get your lunch there too. If you are ever on Route 32 south of Waterville, make a point to stop in. A real Maine general store...It's an experience!

"Also, The Bridge Is Out Ahead"...this sign must have been developed by CALTRANS (Highway Department in California) following OSHA regulations?

;-)

Hell (Michigan) truly does freeze over almost every winter.  It is north of me...and we freeze plenty here.

I bet the taco bell sign was rearranged by some mischievous kids who were bored.

I used to do that with my foster siblings (my mom was a foster parent) at the local stores.

This is what happens in a town with no free youth center. :D

Nancy, my town has free youth centers and that has not stopped "mischevous" acts. Whatever happened to personal responsibility?

Thats right Nancie, blame the townfor the youths "mischievous" deeds, for not having a free youth center. But gee, who is  to be blamed in my town? We have 5-6 FREE youth centers and there are still "mischievous" youths here? I guess that blows your theory out the water.

Hey, pmcgall64, lighten up.  I think nancie's comment was tongue in cheek.

These signs are hilarious!

Yep!  I've driven past it.  I tried to get a picture of the sign, but I was in a moving car; needless to say it didn't turn out.  But someone did actually stop and get a clear one.  Nice work!

I found some real gems whilst travelling Thailand.

At a crocodile farm there was an enclosure with about 12 huge crocs in it, and a sign saying "Milk chocolate covered crocodiles"... not sure if we were meant to indulge?!

There were also large signs at every skytrain station in Bangkok proclaiming (beneath a grinning, pretty young woman) 'I'm cool! I speak Wall Street English!'

On a rickety boat on a very brown river was a sign telling us to 'Step off the boat on the boat'

And beside a bucket full of turtles in a market another told us 'Turtles are sharp'....??

Ahh, the joys of travelling.
