Alaska Employees Get Vaccine Ultimatum

I quit getting flu shots about 10 years ago.  While I am healthier than most people my age, I still have suffered from the sniffles from time to time, and had the flu once or twice since I began drinking raw milk five years ago.  I have listened carefully to Dr. Mercola's advice on Vitamin D and it seemed like a good idea.  

This year I am taking Vitamin D3 tablets.  I haven't had so much as a sniffle or a stuffy nose all year, while I have watched people around me getting sick.  I have a booth in a year-round farmers market and I handle money all the time.  People who are less than healthy are at my booth frequently, including the other booth owners.  And yet I am free of the "normal" winter diseases.

We don't need flu vaccines; we need Vitamin D awareness campaigns, and doctors who will regularly test Vitamin D levels in their patients.  Never once in my 67 years has ANY doctor recommended Vitamin D.  I wonder why?  

My oldest granddaughter is in her first year of medical school, and she told me that they are being taught about the dangers of low Vitamin D levels, so perhaps things will change.  We can hope, hey?

I think all the nurses should refuse the vaccine and walk out. Hospitals are short staffed to begin with, they cannot afford to lose their nurses. Maybe that would open up some eyes to the fact that medicines/vaccines cannot be forced upon us. Any company that forces an employee to do something against their will is wrong, and it's time we all stand up to this type of abuse. I have had two flu shots in my life, both times I was sick for 5 weeks straight. No one will ever talk me into another flu shot for as long as I live!!!

It's obvious to me this issue and other issues concerning personal liberty in choosing our medical needs must go before the U.S. Supreme Court to be finally decided. The nurses union in that Alaska hospital has the chance to make this go all the way, if they have the right stuff to do so. They are probably a small union with insufficient resources to pursue the issue all the way. An appeal to ALL sensitive to this issue, in the form of contributions to help pushing this costly quest all the way to the high court could possibly make it happen. I, personally, would be first in line to contribute to such a cause. Remember, there are millions of us, and helping that cause should be an honor for all of us uphold. WE have the strength, collectively. We just need to flex our muscles. Are we capable of that?

Remember, the basic premise of these forced rules is presented falsely as a matter of public welfare. They cite the issue of large amounts of tax money being used to treat the public and that these rules are in the best interest of the public and will reduce the high costs of health care that taxpayers are paying by reducing the spread of disease.That makes it attractive to many uninformed people. The real truth needs to be exposed widely.

Anyone commenting on New Jersey's new mandate that every child of elementary school age is required to receive Flu and Pneumonia vaccinations by the end of January!  

FIRST STATE IN THE NATION TO MAKE THIS MANDATE!

This article infuritates me!  

I work in a hospital and of course, every year they majorly PUSH their beloved flu shot.  In the past, if employees refused (as I have the past few years), we simply signed a form declining it...no questions asked.  Of course there has always been the overall tone of, "you're a fool if you don't get this shot", but I could handle that.

This year, however, the pressure has been turned up.  The hospital has gone out on an all-out campaign to have all employees get the flu shot:  it is now not only STRONGLY suggesting all of the employees (and their families) get the flu shot, but now also we are required to explain in detail WHY we are declining.  This of course made me mad and scared the bleep out of me....are we close to having it become mandatory, just like ths Alaska hospital??

I have wondered why they are so anxious to have us all "drink the kool-aide" with this stupid shot, and of course it must be financial.  How much does a flu shot cost a hospital, anyway?  Our small hospital is sturuggling financially (as many are this year), yet they are shelling these things out to employees and our families free of charge.

I read the following recently in "World Without Cancer" (an absolute must-have book) that, "During the great flu epidemic of 1918, which took the lives of over ten-million Americans, Dr. Krebs, Sr., was able to save almost 100% of the hundreds of patients who came under his care.  As both a graduate pharmacist and an accredited physician practicing in Nevada, he had taken a keen interest in the fact that the Washoe Indians of that area enjoyed almost complete freedom from the respiratory diseases of the white man.  He discovered that their native remedy for such ailments was called "Dortza Water," a decoction of the root of a whild parsley-like plant..."

I think that the nurses should stand up for their (and our) right to choose what they put into their bodies.  (This is suspose to be a free country after all!)  And, if they get fired, we should all support them through donations.

"They" are only testing the waters to see what we will put up with.  Once the nurses give in, where will it end?  What does the future hold for our children?

I work for this hospital , and fortunately this ultimatum was repealed within a week of posting.  I told my supervisor  I refused to be mandated what I put in my body. We are also mandated to get the TB screening which is also a mono vaccine with similar ingredients in other vaccines. I am researching in how I can screen for TB alternative ways. So if any of you know please comment. It is very sad that in a country full of freedoms, medical freedom  does not exist.

Our complacency is catching up with us very quickly.  First Government decided those attending public schools must be exposed to these toxic vaccines, that they may attend public schools.  Then the private schools jumped on the band wagon.  All of this regardless of the objections of the parents.  Then the state of New Jersey decided to force the parents who used state approved daycare, to require vaccines, and flu shots.  Now private industry is in the game.  Next they will be telling us what church to attend, and when.  

You see they and BIG PHARMA, have already sought to take control of the most personal pocession we have, our bodies.  We thought our elected officials would be there to protect our rights.  NOT.  You see our dollar chasing career representatives are first concerned with these dollars, and everything else is persona-non-grata.  Our complacency, is in our face.  If do not have your health, you have a poor quality of life.

Many of us do all we can to maintain our health the old fashion way, we eat well, rest etc., but so what.  Since Joe down the block disregards the basics, we are all in trouble.  

I never got a flu shot, never will and I got the flu maybe once or twice in my life. (Thanx God!) I,m over 30.

And I,m from Europe from a 4 seasons country with heavy winters. I live here now in Calif and I used to work as a graphic designer before. I used to work with 7 other people in 1 very small room and I remember one time at the flu season a person in the room got the flu and every person eventually got sick from another. For some reason the flu skipped me and went on the next person in the room. After this happened they quit making negative comments on my everyday prepared food which I used to bring for lunch in a big brown bag. I guess, at that point they understood the importance of proper nutrition etc. and they started to ask me about how do I prepare my foods, how much garlic I eat and so on.  Dont forget these were the very people who in contrast to my prepared food ate only processed foods, chips all day, sodas, cigarettes every hour, so on..That was funny.....

Even the buisness owner got surprized because I was the only 1 who came in to work....

They also put MSG in every live virus shot. MSG is an excitotoxin that hides in our food under 30 different names including, "natural flavorings" which may or may not be MSG. It is natural. So is hemlock. Excitotoxins destroy brain cells. That  feeling of pleasure people get when the consume an excitotoxin including alcohol is caused by the endorphins that are given off when brain cells are dieing. That feeling of pleasure makes people enjoy their food more so manufacturers put it in food but try to disguise  it is in there by giving it different names and the FDA lets them do this. Google MSG. I have melt downs I can't control when I consume MSG. Wish I'd realised that was what caused them decades ago. This caused much social damage. They put this in the shots we inject into our children while their brains are young and developing. When people are stressed things can cross the blood brain barrier that otherwise can not and believe me children are VERY stressed when they are being forcefully held down and injected with needles by people who are supposed to be protecting them from pain.  Just the experience caused severe behavior problems in me and destroyed my bond with my Mother.  There are also many  FDA approved things doctors can do to at least make shots and other needle sticks not hurt, but they don't do them: (pain-killing creams and patches) MSG exposure has gone way up as we eat more and more snack foods and manufacturers add it to more and more foods. And the number of shots with it in them has also gone up. That alone may be fueling the autism epidemic even without the other immune system assaults vaccines cause.

How much did the directors of the Centre get paid/(were they blackmailed)? by big pharma, for forcing flu shots? Will they themselves submit to them, would they allow family members to have them.?. If the directors insist that the shots are only for staff, then doesnt this stink.  Lucky I live in stinking Eurpoe, but hey, I may lose all my supplements before you. They already return many of them of my packages to US. Gaza doesnt sound any better to live in. The Issis claim they left three years ago, apart from the sea, land and naval blockade, stealing of tax money, targeted assasination of elected people, and now they even bomb the University.

The rationale was that anyone dealing with large numbers of the public should be protected from the risk of as many communicable diseases as humanly possible.

There was never any intimation that this might have any perils.

But try to inform the standard citizen otherwise - and you will be regulated to the 'crank' club, along with those who see a bogey in every cupboard, and conspiracy at every turn.

Concerning mandatory flu shots, once again ANOTHER violation of our constitutional rights. This will never end I fear because the powers that be have FAR overstepped their bounds and they go unchecked by the people of the US. These officials, whoever they are, should be yanked by their ear, kicked in the seat of their pants and thrown out of office because they, as elected civil servants, have not done the will of the people and have violated all of us. I work in a southern California hospital and rumor has it that flu shots may be manditory someday at the hospital I work at. We ALL know the facts about flu shots and really how they really don't work at all. We ALL know it is just a money grubbin' thing as it is with most drugs. I unite with all others in condemning this unconstitutional practice.

I agree with the writers who say. all out! if they have no staff, they will have to either bring in agency staff, who, lets face it, are also not going to be real happy about being jabbed, especially as it would be a temp. job.

As best as I can tell, this is a private hospital. They have the Constitutionally protected right to make their rules however they want, just like the staff has the right to not work in those conditions if they choose (work elsewhere).

If they have rules that leaves therm without enough staff they will have to change their rules in order to stay in business.

The nurses union should file a grievance that the hospital is changing the terms of employment in the contract.   Ohio State Highway Patrol tried to force all troopers to get the flu shot 3 years ago.  My physical therapist's brother won his grievance and did not have to get the shot.   The therapists at the group I went to for my vaccine damaged legs were adamant that no one get the shot.   Better sick for 2 weeks than damaged forever.

It's not just the nurses that are being forced, all employees, so I think they should all stand in unity. In fact, I think all union and healthcare workers in America should stand in unity on this. It can only help stop this before it becomes common place in healthcare facilities and then in all other workplaces.

Anyone who wants a vaccine is free to get it.  And I would LOVE to know why - if they believe the shots work -- why do they consider tha unvaccinated people a danger ?

I'm a health care professional on New York, no stranger to this fascist BS.  I want to know why they tried to mandate the seasonal and swine flu vaccs last year , while unvacciated frineds, relatives and other contacts of the patient are not forced to be vaccinated ?  (wait, that may come.)

I do not live in the USA. But I always thought that job discrimination is forbidden over there.   What about filing a complain in this sence and ask for compensation of a few million dollars?    

A great book to read and memorize some persuasive facts is "Vaccines, are they really safe and effective?" by Neil Z. Miller.  It is such a good one I keep extras around to hand out to people! My 3 year old daughter has never been vaccinated and never will be and she has not been sick a day in her life and I do not worry about germs or carry antibacterial wipes everywhere with me.  Diet has everything to do with it! Feed the body what it needs and it functions without sickness, giving you chronic health!  We who have been enlightened on the truths of vaccinations need to stand strong and have facts behind our convictions and convey them with love to all.  It is a blessing to read the comments from all of you on this blog, we are getting the truth out, no matter how hard "they" try to stop us!!

New Jersey is requiring all preschoolers to get a flu shot by January 2009.  It's no coincidence that more pharma companies are located in NJ than in any state.  This madness has to stop.  When is the health of the people of our nation going to become more important than money?  

Ruka, my reply button does not work.  I heard in one newscast about the New Jersey mandate, that the major industry in  New Jersey is Big Pharma.  That state has more pharmaceutical manufacturers than any other state.  Follow the money.  It appears the Big Pharma controls New Jersey.

As an RN who believes strongly in preventative and holistic practices, my opt out would be a walk out if I were faced with manditory vaccination.  Methyl murcury, among other toxic and deadly substances is not for me nor should it be for anyone else.  Elected officials appoint the directors of such governmental agencies as the FDA.  I regularly write to these same officials and suggest that their support of these dangerous practices will result in my supporting their competition in the next election.  This, and education, are the only way to get the job done. If their money and power supply is threatened, then they will act.

I also am a health care professional and work in a hospital. I also see those signs every where, flu shot drives, nurses wear buttons etc. So far no mandatory issues but I really don't think that the nurses realize it is a problem. I hate to call attention to myself so I never do ask but there were TWO peer review studies published in two good "normal/not alternative" journals showing that they don't work. Isn't it odd with this new research that they keep pushing it and are making it mandatory? I am thinking that those two studies will be helpful for those who refuse. I have so many allergies. I am coming up on my every 10 year tetanus shot and they are telling me that I should make it a DTP which I read could cause brain inflammation. I am very nervous about that. So far that is all that is mandatory (except the PPD for TB). Well, that and the MMR when you start but fortunately I had my pediatric medical record which showed I had all those so they didn't make me take it.

I find this policy appalling.  The land that Alaska Providence Hospital sits on today was my trapping grounds in the 1950's and a close friend works there now so I feel "attached" to this problem!  For four years I have been adding 4800IU per day of vitamin D-3 and have had only one "cold" in that time while my wife, children, grandchildren and friends have had many.  I've intentionally allowed myself to be fully exposed to these people suffering with flus and colds.  The only cold I got was after an airline flight to Phoenix, Arizona two years ago!  Keep spreading the word about the good of sunshine and moderate-normal levels of LDL cholesterol in our blood.

This hospital staff would have to allow it's employees the opportunity to opt out for religious or medical reasons. If not, then they would be liable for murder and medical malpractice. Every State offers this exemption, because they too don't want the liabilty.
