Unbelievably Powerful Computational Knowledge Engine

Very amazing tool if you want to crunch numbers fast and you don't own a copy of Mathematica. The speed at which it can calculate that one US Dollar from 1900 is now worth only 4 cents, is blinding. Fortunately you get that calculation for free so the information doesnt hurt that much!

It's far better to look up the subject manually, verify the source of the information and determine its validity.  This is likely to replace the already highly dubious and coloured Wikipedia as the first and last word on everything for lazy web armchair researchers.  Does this site take wikipedia into consideration in its answers?  How do we know where it gets its info from and whether it's reliable?  These sort of tools are potentially very dangerous for objective thought and thorough research.

I find it remarkable that all anyone can do with this unique tool is point out its defficiencies.  Not everything is a conspiracy.  Some people are actually trying to make life, science, etc. better and all many of us can do is point out the flaws.  This program is a great tool.  It's not the "do-all, be-all" of research or information.  It's a tool.  No one points out the defficiencies of a hammer, they just use it as needed and use other tools when the hammer doesn't suffice.  Get a grip, people!

I'm surprised that you don't show a link to this service. I already have some specific uses for it, in spite of any possible questions. Guess I'll have to use Google to find the site.

I don't know much about this particular engine yet, but I would tend to agree with you that if this is providing a similar service to that of Wikipedia, then it could be more trouble than its worth.  Personally, it is only good sense that one should not accept as gospel something that can basically be edited by anyone at anytime.  For those who think this is a little bit alarmist, spend some time searching the issue on line.  Regardless, it is interesting to follow the technology.  What's scary who is how some this stuff might be used.  

This is undoubtedly a new way to show the world just how smart mankind has become, because these are all man made creations because the computor only knows what is put into it. It all becomes quite confusing when you look at all these computations and really, who gives a Damm. I am a truth seeker. I want to know about the things that can help mankind, Especially the less fortunate and I assure you they do hot have access to this kind of crapp. Man thinks he is so smart with all his new inventions and creative little toys to stimulate the minds of the, so called Great minds of the world. Truthfully, I don't need a computer to tell me things that people want to believe in or know about. I already have all that knowledge and it is as old as time itself. It is a book called The Holy Bible. It has all the computations and reasonings of how to live life and to the fullest and best of all how to Love and to share what you have with others who don't have all these fancy fandangos. Man continually wants to think he has the whole world in his hands.... Got news for ya. God is the only one who knows all things and He is real and alive today and He is all I need. All these other things like this (Wolfram Alpha) are just mans way of taking your eyes off the truth. Notice the very name of it.... WOLF something that desires to kill and devour and then ALPHA, God says that He is the ALPHA and the OMEGA (the begining and the last) ... No computer will never compete with the Word of God. It is just another way to try and make the ignorant seem to be more than they really are, nothing but flesh and bones. We are heading towards that Omega at lightning speed. Don't believe me try asking Wolfram Alpha and lets see what it has to say. Start looking at the real things in life people. Charity, Sharing with the less Fortunate, the Fatherless and the Motherless, the Hungry and the poor and Needy. Why not invest in something that will last for eternity, instead wasting your mind on things.
