This year we start the 13th year for our website and we have been the most visited natural medicine site in the world for the last seven years.

We are also now in the top ten most visited health sites in the world. You can view all the top sites on our ranking page.

Many of our articles are now getting over a quarter million to a million views, and the entire site has over 20 million page views a month. Overall we are in the top 3,000 most visited sites on the internet, which is quite extraordinary considering that that there are tens of millions of websites.

Many of our readers are recent subscribers, so it seemed appropriate to review our most popular articles of 2009.

New Hope for the Future

Together, we have made enormous strides to improve the health of tens of thousands of people. The swine flu debacle of 2009 was a perfect example of how a grassroots movement can educate a large majority of people, and in so doing, help avoid a potential mass catastrophe.

You don’t hear much about swine flu in the media now because they FAILED to achieve their mission. Our site, in partnering with NVIC, was likely the single largest factor for three important victories in this area:

  • Avoiding the use of squalene in the H1N1 vaccine in the US

  • Avoiding mandatory H1N1 vaccination

  • Having the MAJORITY of the people in the US refuse the vaccine despite massive PR media campaigns and the president declaring a public health emergency

This is just a small example of what we can do together in the future to make a difference. Remember that you CAN make a difference and with the advent of the 21st century we have new tools to help you share the message and TRULY make a difference.

  1. Deadlier than Cocaine, Heroin, and the Swine Flu?

The number one article takes a look at one of the fastest growing problems in the US. A largely unrecognized epidemic, prescription drug misuse causes most of the fatal overdoses each year. Topping the list are opioid painkillers. Partly to blame is the cultural acceptance of prescription drugs, as opposed to illegal street drugs, despite the fact that the former claim far more lives than the latter.

To read more, and learn about the most effective alternative treatment options for pain, please see this link.

  2. How Much Vitamin D Do You Really Need to Take?

As more and more scientific evidence emerged over the past few years, confirming that the currently recommended daily allowances (RDA) of vitamin D are grossly insufficient for young and old alike, many had asked me to clarify the recommended dosages, especially as it pertains to children.

This article addresses these concerns, and provides the latest dosing recommendations for young and old alike. If you missed it, now is your chance to catch up on the latest guidelines, which could make a major difference in your health.

  4. MSG: Is This Silent Killer Lurking in Your Kitchen Cabinets?

MSG is one of the worst food additives on the market and is used in canned soups, crackers, meats, salad dressings, frozen dinners and much more. It’s found in your local supermarket and restaurants, in your child’s school cafeteria and, amazingly, even in baby food and infant formula.

While MSG’s benefits to the food industry are quite clear, this food additive could be slowly and silently doing major damage to your health.

If you suffer from unexplained health problems like tingling, chest pain and nausea, just to name a few, you may want to take a closer look at the foods you eat. To find out more about this hidden health hazard, you won’t want to miss this special report.

For more than 5,000 years, turmeric has been an important part of Eastern cultural traditions, including traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. Valued for its medicinal properties and warm, peppery flavor, this yellow-orange spice has more recently earned a name for itself in Western medicine as well.

Turmeric comes from the root of the Curcuma longa plant, which is native to Indonesia and southern India, and is widely used as an ingredient in curry dishes and yellow mustard. As research into this powerful spice has increased, it has emerged as one of nature’s most powerful potential healers.

This special report delves into the many benefits of this potent spice, and if you haven’t added it to your spice rack yet, it may be at the top of your list once you’re done reading.

Dramatic claims aside, this in-depth review examines what is really known about vinegar, based on the scientific studies to date.

  8. This Antioxidant Can Smash Insulin Resistance and Autoimmune Disease

Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) has many functions, but it’s one of the most effective free radical scavengers, and the only one known to easily get into your brain.

To learn the many ways it can benefit your health, especially if you suffer from any kind of autoimmune disease, please read the article in its entirety, and listen to Dr. Burt Berkson’s first-hand clinical experience with ALA in the accompanying interview.

  1. Approaching Epidemic: Brain Damage from Mobile Phone Radiation

With the ever-increasing, widespread use of wireless communications, it is imperative to understand the risks inherent in the use of the technology, yet the government has been very slow to respond, no doubt in large part due to industry pressure.

Ever growing scientific research corroborates the suspicion that information-carrying radio waves transmitted by cell phones and other wireless devices can cause a number of significant health problems, including the hardest-to-treat type of brain cancers.

If you missed this article, take a moment to read it now, as this may be one of the most important yet least attended-to aspects of your health, not to mention the health of your children in the years to come.
