No flu shot, no H1N1 flu shot.  No flu, no swine flu.  None of my family, to include my 3 year old and 1 year old received the H1N1 vaccine or a flu shot and we were just fine.  We do get vitamin D supplementation since we live in Washington State and my daughtetr's mother is African American.

When my second daughter was born the nurse came to give her a shot.  I asked what it was for and she said Hep A.  I asked what the risk factors were and she said intravenous drug use, etc., etc.  I asked how it was that my newborn daughter would be exposed to those risk factors and she said that it may happen in daycare.  I informed her that my MIL would be watching my daughter and that she didn't need the Hep vaccination.  At her six month checkup.  Our pediatrician gave her the Hep vaccine without asking our permission.  I was so angry I could scream.

Parents need to stand UP!!!  Big Pharma is only interested in making money.  Your child's health is a secondary consideration.

My oldest son has epilepsy.  At his last EEG the technicion adminstering the test who has been doing this for 28 years commented on the HUGE increase in seizures among the children she sees in this pediatric neurology practice.  The common thread among all of them: H1N1 vaccine!  While this is not evidence gleaned from a scientific survey, it sure is powerful anecdotal evidence, don't you think?  Furthermore, 2 of my 3 children did get some kind of flu last year.  Were they sick?  Yes, but it wasn't all that bad!  

I find it extraordinary how dense most people are...getting an injection of poison just so you *maybe* don't get a cold <shaking head>.

My employer (hospital) just announced that it will be manditory for everyone to take the flu shot. There will be medical exemptions but that is it. I might leave my job over it.

With regard to vaccinations I would not have believed it either....but reactions can start a month later. The one example I have is my grandson, who was born with perfect skin all over. After his 2nd DPT + all the other things that go with it vaccination(at 3 months) he was OK, then little by little, starting approximately one month later he began to have itchy red marks on his cheeks, he scratched them at night and woke up with blood on his face and crying.  His mother has not had a single all night sleep since then . Trying to "control" this horror is taking all  her time and the baby, who is docile generally is pushed to his limits of tolerance. They have given up allopathic solutions to this and spend a lot of time and money researching homeopathic remedies, food intolerances and diets. By the way, my daughter has always breastfed him and continues to this day and is absolutely against all forms of vaccination.

Now 3 months later, not having had the 3rd vaccination, he has eczema in patches ALL OVER HIS LITTLE BODY.

Dont ever believe that vaccination reactions cannot start after a month or more, they can and do !!

If I were the parent of a young kid, I would make sure he or she was getting 4,000 IU of D3 each day plus some time out in the sun during the weekends. I take 10,000 IU a day of D3 and my blood test comes in at 86, right where I like to be. I don't even get the sniffles.

Please do not even think about getting a flu shot. They are (like GM food) really about population reduction and they're terribly effective. Anyone who thinks that the FDA, CDC, and WHO are really trying to protect the Earth's humans is about as wrong as one can be.

Thank you Dr. Mercola!  I recently read your article "Flu Plan Scandal Ahead" and was very interested to see that one of the reactions being reported with last years H1N1 vaccine was Thrombocytopenia - a very rare disease.  My father is 80 years old and has always believed in following Dr's orders.  In good health, at the recommendation of his doctor,  he received the H1N1 vaccine last year.  Two months later was in horrible condition and was diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia!  Hummmm...How very interesting!!  He now has no quality of life, can hardly move around his own house because he is so weak and so very sick and now lives each day wondering if he'll see tomorrow.  Listen Up America...the government and pharmaceutical companies have no regard for our well being.  It makes me sick to my stomach to think that they carry no accountability!  

My 73 year-old mother got a swine flu shot. (She was a nurse, and believes in flu shots).

Developed swine flu 2 weeks later, that then turned into pneumonia.  Almost killed her.

The hype never stopped here in southeastern Wisconsin. Television adds ALL summer long about how important it is to get vaccinated for the flu. And now Walgreen's with their flu shot gift card. I guess since the scare tactic didn't work, they are trying to get us with the hook of buying a flu shot for "someone you love" or "A gift you can feel good about all season long." It even has a heart on it where you can fill in your loved one's name. Luckily it's "good for one flu shot only." Next, they'll probably try a buy one get one free campaign. I don't recall any info about the dangers of fluoride.It's a BIG issue! There is PLENTY of scientific data out there to confirm it's toxicity. Hell, even on the back of toothpaste bottles it has a poison warning: if you swallow more than a pea-sized amount to call the Posion Control Center immediately!

Here's a fun fact: You know when fluoride was first used in a water supply? IT WAS IN HITLER'S CONCENTRATION CAMPS! You think he did this because he "cared about their teeth"? HA! They found that fluoride (a toxic by-product of aluminum production) made their prisoners/slaves more docile and subservient... thus making them less likely to want to escape. NOW can you see why it's REALLY put in our water supply? It's also put in pHARMaceuticals and various other products. It is also worth noting that when public water supplies are tested by independent groups,they almost always find toxins like SSRI ANTIDEPRESSANTS and other mind-numbing pHARMaceuticals. Children are most susceptible to invasive pathologies and should never be exposed to vaccines. The average parent is gullible because his ignorance is astronomical. Nevertheless, we must educate the parents about keeping their children's immune systems at peak levels through the use of mineral, enzyme, antioxidant, and protein supplements. Those are the four nutrients that are deficient in all diets, no matter how much you eat. Adding junk foods (soy baby formulas, etc.) to a baby's diet certainly doesn't help when he's exposed to any pathological invasions. Parents must take the initiative to supplement their baby's diet regardless of the medical profession's opinions to the contrary. I would recommend that expectant mothers and children should be using a water ionizer and following a high antioxidant and alkaline diet.

Sure this point must have been made a zillion times but - IF they made this stuff mandatory, these risks, dangers and complications reports could never be attributed to the vaccines because everyone had received the vaccine.  

My mom contract GBS a few years ago, directly after receiving her flu vaccine. Mine and my children's doctors continue to suggest we partake in the vaccine. We have opted out. I would MUCH rather get the flu than the shot!

Well big pharma with all their big bucks can always pad the palms of government officials and doctors to get them to do what they want.  Now we get letters from school telling us state laws say our children have to have mandatory immunizations in order to be allowed to attend school. So, if they can't do it by fear, they'll do it by paying officials to force it on the kids with state laws!

And now they have the H1N1 vaccine hidden in the upcoming Flu shot. How nice of them, NOT!

My friend has twins who received the Pandemrix vaccine a year ago. One of them subsequently developed narcolepsy. He is now struggling with it. Ok, so am I an idiot or what, but why is the flu suddenly such a big deal....it wasn't when I was a kid, I've gone my whole life without a flu shot, yet somehow I'm alive and healthy.  I've never shot up my kids, they are all fine...and this weekend I am home, and sick, but I'll have some tea, rest, stay warm and in a few days I'll be fine...why the freakout about flu shots?  About the flu?  The healthy have little to fear.

I have gone back and forth on the subject of vaccines, reading all sides of the argument. I love and respect Dr. Mercola's advice and research, however I have to say that many children did die as a result of the "swine" flu. I lost my toddler son 18 months ago to a preventable death, and frankly, I could not live with myself if my daughter (now almost 2) did contract H1N1 and die. And maybe that is fear-based thinking, but until you have lost a child to a preventable accident, when you thought you were doing EVERYTHING to keep them safe, then you really have no idea. I made a difficult, difficult decision to have my daughter vaccinated with the H1N1 vaccine. Neither my husband nor I are believers in flu shots, but this case was very different. Many many young toddlers and children died from this strain of the flu. I read somewhere a number citing over 400 deaths in children alone-- Otherwise healthy children, not those with already compromised immune systems. I will say again that I deeply respect Dr. Mercola and have implemented several of his suggestions into our lives, but losing one child to a preventable death has been devastating, just devastating. Self-forgiveness feels impossible when your baby dies, I could not bear to lose both my little ones. So please, while you are all out there "bashing" for lack of a better word, those who do choose to get vaccinated, remember that you do not know the whole story.  

I believe you made a mistake in the first line of your comments with "health authorities". Didn't you mean "medical authorities"??? No real health authority would back the vaccine. It's simply media psychology that has in recent years replaced the word "medical" with the word "health". "Medical insurance" has become "health insurance", a local hospital has switched its name from "Memorial Medical Center" to "Memorial Health University", we used to say "medical benefits", now we say "health benefits' because the connotation is simply more appealing. Just saying....

Flu shots are being SOLD to you regardless. Sueing the medics is not only an expensive undertaking but you will get no where with it since Government and Big Pharma are depending on one another i.e. taxes! All you can do is make sure that your children are not given these useless and often damaging flu shots. In all but 71 yrs I have not had one of those but believe in supplementing where necessary and have done brilliantly so far i.e. never saw my GP other than 4 times in 40 yrs.

Just to clarify after the missleading heading there. In Australia it was the combined flu shot that had problems NOT the swine flu shot which has had very few side effects.The one side effect it definately did have was to stop people dying of the flu. It the flu, not just a pesky cold and whilst most people recover some do not, alot more than the aberation mentioned above (dont know about you but I would rather my kids had narcolepsy than death!!!)

First it was the polio vaccine...then there is the barrage of three required vaccines before a child could enter school (polio, DPT, MMR)...now that requirement is a total of 5 required vaccines (polio, DPT, MMR, Hep B, and Chicken Pox). The narcolepsy can not be related to the vaccine.  Vaccine reactions can ONLY happen with in the first two weeks after receiving it.  If it happens any later it is just a coincidence.
