This diet is typically loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and essential fatty acids, all of which can significantly transform your health while minimizing pain. Some of the best anti-inflammatory foods include:1

Arnica tea: Arnica has a long history of being used for pain relief, and it's said to help bring down inflammation and infection. The plant contains flavonoids and essential oils that help heal cartilage, soft tissues, joints and muscles. While it can be used topically, drinking it as a tea may also impart these benefits.

Ginseng: The anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of ginseng may be beneficial against irritation and inflammation associated with costochondritis.

What You Don’t Eat Is Just as Important

While nourishing your body with healthy food choices may benefit your condition, take note that there are also particular food items you need to eliminate from your diet to avoid exacerbating the inflammation.
