  • Keep your skin clean and dry. Make sure that you maintain your skin’s cleanliness by washing it with water and a mild soap. Consider applying moisturizer to protect it from possible damage.
  • Stay away from abrasive and harsh chemicals. If your work exposes you to tar, oil or any type of chemical that may irritate the skin, use protective gear. Minimize your exposure as much as possible to avoid the chemicals from getting into your hair follicles. This is also applicable to harsh skin products that you may be using. If you have sensitive skin, it would be best that you switch to milder and more natural options.
  • Keep oil-based product use at a minimum. Applying too much oil on the skin can trap bacteria in the pores and hair follicles, triggering infections and other skin problems.
