Dear Dr. Samsel, I sent a message earlier, found out that I'm still amongst your friends, but cannot find how to reach you except through Mercola's comment page. Need help with your input on a water filtration system for my daughter. I do not have tens of thousands of dollars to spend, and Austin's water is not as contaminated as the Greater Boston area. But, I need to get the fluoride reduced and they have a severe drought. For this reason, I thought about sending the water through the high water heater to reduce waste. But, then learned that both fluoride and arsenic can be absorbed through the skin, so RO with waste water going through a hot water heater may not be a good option. Now looking at activated alumina. But, have no independent studies and cannot afford to buy the filters than test the chemicals, and possibly start over again. Hence, need you feed back on the activated alumina.
