Fruit, Vegetable Consumption Protects Against Oral Precancerous Lesions in Smokers

Eating fruits and vegetables and some micronutrients may attenuate the risk of oral precancerous lesions in tobacco users. Individuals with high fruit and vegetable intakes were significantly less likely to develop oral lesions than others, with a decrease in risk of more than 10% for each quartile of intake.
