EPA Refuses to Ban Neurotoxic Pesticide Found in 87 Percent of Newborns

  • A study measuring chlorpyrifos levels in women and children living in an agricultural community found measurable levels in 70.5 percent of maternal blood samples and 87.5 percent of cord blood samples
  • Government-funded studies also show chlorpyrifos poses serious risks to 97 percent of endangered animals in the U.S.

Exposure to pesticides, herbicides and insecticides has dramatically increased since the introduction of genetically engineered (GE) crops.
