Graphene, a carbon-based nanomaterial, is being heralded as the material of the future for a wide range of applications. Graphene helps to prevent mosquito bites by acting as a mechanical and chemical barrier, but little is known about the short- and long-term risks this 'wonder material' poses to human health and the environment.
