I want to extend to all my Mercola friends a warm and heartfelt Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year and whatever other holiday greeting I may have left out. I hope each and every one of you finds health and happiness in the coming year :)

As many of you may or may not know, Dr. Mercola has taken a rather extreme stance regarding the home remedy supplement, cod liver oil. This stand puts him in agreement with groups like The Vitamin D Council, but in direct opposition to many other alternative health practitioners, not the least of which is The Weston A. Price Foundation.

To help put the matter to rest, I dug through a mountain of data to render an opinion and strike a happy medium between the two sides...

The Cod Liver Oil Debate

It's time to put aside the mainstream media's fear mongering and read from Ron Paul's own essay on what he would do if he became president. This is a realistic assessment of what a Libertarian (or any constitutionally-minded) president could actually expect to pursue and accomplish if elected to the presidency. I've heard many similar statements by other noted Libertarians (such as Harry Browne and Michael Badnarik), so it's nice to see the real agenda get a full public showing.

We hear all the time from the media pundits that "whackos" like Ron Paul and other Libertarians would throw old people out into the street, give corporations carte blanche to do as they please, destroy the environment, get everyone addicted to drugs, destroy education, and generally cause the downfall of modern civilization. But as the old saying goes, it just aint so.
