Using EFT to Avoid Surgery

Surgery

Many conventional doctors turn to drugs and surgery to help cure their patients; however, this doesn't need to be the case, as energy psychology tools like the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) can be used to avoid surgery altogether.

An EFT Phenomenon

One woman, who was recovering from knee replacement surgery, had developed urinary retention -- meaning she couldn't urinate without the help of a catheter, a tubular medical device for insertion into canals, vessels, passageways, or body cavities usually to permit injection or withdrawal of fluids or to keep a passage open.

After undergoing examinations, including a cystoscopic procedure, her doctor determined there were no blockages or other physical problems that contributed to her condition. It wasn't until prior to placing a tube in her bladder that her doctor asked the patient if she had any emotional issues that may have contributed to her urinary problems. (The doctor was aware she had suffered from other medical problems such as depression and fibromyalgia.)

After thinking for a moment, the women explained she was suffering from stress from when her husband was in the hospital and almost died.

Knowing this, her doctor creatively applied EFT to it and the urinary problem cleared up! Thus, after only a 10-minute EFT session, the woman had her bladder filled with water and her catheter removed, serving as yet another example of the amazing healing power of EFT.

Dr. Mercola Dr. Mercola's Comments:

The potentially life-saving benefits that surgery can provide should never be overlooked and, when it is absolutely necessary, I would be the first to recommend surgery to my patients. Conversely, surgery is performed far too often, and since surgery is irreversible you will want to exhaust all possible options before consenting to it.

Unfortunately, this type of approach is most likely a generation or two away from being widely accepted in medicine, and it will be a challenge to identify physicians like this one who are open-minded enough to consider it as a practical option.

This approach does work and the classic illustration of that is the New England double-blind, placebo-controlled multi-center study that found patients who, unknowingly, underwent "placebo surgeries" for knee osteoarthritis had the same improvements in pain relief and mobility as their truly surgically repaired counterparts.

This study is truly remarkable and by every measure a landmark study that will be referenced for decades as it established such a profound and amazing truth.

If you aren't familiar with EFT it is the psychological acupressure technique I routinely use in my practice and most highly recommend to optimize your emotional health, especially if you have a physical problem as well. It is based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over 5,000 years, but without the invasiveness of needles. Simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto certain meridians on your head and chest while you think about your specific problem.

Please remember, although it is still often overlooked, emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing. No matter how devoted you are to the proper diet and lifestyle, you will not achieve your body's ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in your way.

You are always welcome to review my free EFT manual and begin to learn this amazing technique in the comfort of your home. However, if you have a more serious health challenge I would strongly recommend obtaining professional assistance and reviewing Gary Craig's EFT Practitioner Referrals .
