Of course, major oil companies like Exxon-Mobil are, in fact, working to discredit global warming. According to the Exxonsecrets Web site, 124 organizations have received money from the company to spin a contradictory line against it.

Truth can be hard to sort from lies, especially when so many scientists are essentially being bribed by corporations to get certain results. When that fails, the corporations fund pseudo-scientific third party groups to simply spread outright lies and add to the confusion.
