Lyme Disease Underreported

The use of existing, passive reporting systems are associated with prevalence rates for Lyme disease in Connecticut that are likely six to nine times lower than the true rates.

I am gradually coming to appreciate the enormous pathology that infections have on chronic illness. Fortunately, the dietary suggestions listed in newsletter #45 tend to improve the immune system sufficiently to help the body eradicate the infection.

Dr. Lyda Mattman is a microbiologist who wrote the book Stealth Organisms and who also believes that Lyme Disease is seriously under reported.

If you have arthritis or chronic fatigue, it may be worth while to be checked for Lyme Disease even though it is well recognized that the blood tests are not very good.
