Your mind is a very powerful player in your body’s tendency to achieve a high state of health, and these tips are the cream of the crop. If you can start to incorporate even a few of them into your day, you’ll be better off.

The first step is simply believing that your mind has the ability to heal you, both physically and emotionally. It also has the ability to make you happy, just by the way you view the world.

Your Reaction Changes Everything

One of the most profound examples of all of this comes from Dr. Hamer’s German New Medicine. His research, which spans across the last three decades, has produced scientific proof indicating that your current health status is due to your mental and emotional reactions to events that take place during your lifetime.

To put this into more concrete terms, let’s say two people undergo a similar hardship, such as losing their job. One person moves forward and views this as an opportunity to find something even better. But the other person feels victimized, angry and hopeless. Well, the latter person’s negative thinking can easily manifest into disease, while the first person will likely move on unaffected.

So it’s not so much the tragic events you undergo in your lifetime that dictate your physical and emotional health … it’s your reaction to them.

This is why tips like the 75 above are so crucial to integrate into your life. Every little bit of positive energy that you can surround yourself with is helpful.

Your Mindset Even Controls Your Genes

Current medical dogma states that you are ruled by your genes, and therefore you are a victim of your genetic makeup. If your mother had breast cancer or your father had depression, the theory goes, then there’s a great chance you will too.

Well, Dr. Bruce Lipton’s new biology dispelled this idea as a myth, a belief that is not based on scientific fact. In truth, your genes do not predispose you to any ONE particular fate. Something else, which you have total control over, rules over your genetic expression.

What is that thing?

Your MIND.

So again you can see how imperative it is to keep your mind in a good place. If you, on the contrary, find that your thoughts tend toward the negative (“I’m too fat,” “I’m tired,” “I’ll never feel better,” “I won’t get the promotion”) it’s time to turn them around.

Certainly the opposite is true. As a child I possessed the ability to elevate my body temperature at will; the longer any thermometer stayed in my mouth, the higher the reading. This was especially useful for avoiding or being sent home from school.  My record was 105 degrees after 18 minutes.
I also learned how to breathe underwater, but I’ll save that story for another time….;-)

that is too funny!
if you would have thought of it at the time, you could have made a mint teaching that to your classmates! it never ceases to amaze me what young minds can do, before they are exposed to negative talk 'no no no'. I remember at 5yo wishing away a wart, I didn't want it anymore, I told it to go away, and it did. voila!

Awesome advice! Beegirl, you breathe under water....?  Would that be without a diving apparatus?  If so, your name should be Mermaid, not BeeGirl! LOL

About the ability to increase temp. at will. I have heard of this. It takes a trained mind to be able to do that. Tibetan monks when they go into deep mediation, sit out on a mountain top with nothing but a wet cloth around them. They are able to achieve such a profound state of higher awareness that they can completely 'dry' the cloth without freezing to death....in fact, their internal temperature remains stable....

Hey!! I just noticed that I am now an Apprentice poster!  Cool.

I can’t explain the mechanics of it, except that I had to be on the verge of drowning which, since I can’t really swim, used to happen on a fairly regular basis. Something to do with very small, shallow breaths.
Sadly I lost the ability right around the time I hit puberty. At least I think I did. Coincidentally, that’s also about the time I stopped trying to retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool. Hmmm, I wonder …..

BeeGirl, do you remember "phylogony recapitulates ontogony"? Did you find a way to keep that set of gills?

That's amazing! One time when I was about 12 yrs. old I went to my room for the night and there was a plastic trashbucket outside of the door to my bedroom(my bedroom was near the kitchen). I walked around it and it was full, though not overflowing, and somewhere near the top there was an empty milk container(half in half out). I must have just watched some movie about the ability to use psychic powers because I said to myself; "I wonder if I can knock that container down with my mind"? I laid down in my bed and I concentrated on that container, visualizing its fall.It must have been about 5 minutes and I was just about to give up when all of a sudden I heard something fall to the floor. It gave me the creeps. I never did it again.I never even went to see if it was the container. Everyone in my family had gone to bed and no one had walked by the trash to disturb it. I still look back on this with amazement and horror. True story!

Keepsondancing, I believe you have it backwards--I learned "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny."  Ontogeny is the development of a single organism.  Phylogeny is the development of a species.  A single organism's development contains within it the history of evolution--very poetic notion!

Saynotoquacks, thx for the correction! Senior moment. At least I got the concept right...but the last time I actually heard the phrase, the earth's crust was still warm.

#54: "Control your cravings." With all due respect, this is one good example of weak advice. If controlling one's cravings was just a matter of decision, no one would be obese in this country. My point is: If we're going to receive advise, I would hope it is not about the obvious. What about #68: "Think of your body differently." If you tell that to someone suffering from "body dysmorphia" they would tell you, "Are you kidding me? That's the problem I'm dealing with right now! I don't know HOW to think of my body differently!" Or what about #44: "Start each day with optimism." You give that advise to a depressed person and you'll destroy him/her, because that's the very thing they want to achieve but they cannot, nor know how to, do! Anyway...hope you get the point. I would much more prefer to read a piece of advice like, "Face your weaknesses and seek help to overcome them" or "Ask yourself: Are my present choices going to help me reach my goals? If not, why do I keep choosing them?" "And am I clear about my goals?" Just keeping it real...

Dear Dr. Renee,

I find you answer your own criticism from the begining of your thoughts at the end by recommending: "Ask yourself: Are my present choices going to help me reach my goals? If not why do I keep choosing them?" Choice is the point. People are not victums, it is a matter of decision. People, all of us fall into habitual patterning, it's hard to change, but harder to stay in the same misery that is created out of negitive thinking.

In facing ones weakness you have to overcome it through acceptance of ones self by loving ones self. Choosing to love ones-self over hating ones-self is the solution. I have done it, and I know it works.

Food for thought, better to make it good than negative!

Sweet Moksha Bliss  ( I hope you get your other name back!)

Thanks - I'm not in the least hung up about the levels, I couldn't care less! I didn't know they existed, and wanted to know what they meant. I'm still not sure. Is it the number of times you have posted messages, or something to do with the points? I don't see the point (no pun intended!) of them anyway, they add nothing to the discussion.

Julieanne...my name change was intentional! I did it as a reflection of a new evolved me!  It was Islander who had her name changed to 'keepsondancing' without her own knowledge!

If you like, you can just call me Bliss is the name is too long...

Anyway, I will try to explain this to you as best I can...what happens is that Vital Votes is a site that permits people to rate either thumbs up...or thumbs down to anybody's post by clicking on the thumb right beside your name and the date.  Some people don't bother with it, while others use it frequently to demonstrate whether they agreed or should I say, approved(?) of the person's post.

As time progresses, if you post often, and you receive more positive thumbs from the Vital Votes community than negative ones, you will be graduated by the moderator to another 'level'. The levels are Novice, Apprentice, Savvy, Moderator, and ....???  Supreme Being...?? (she says with a chuckle)

Hope this helps and welcome!

I don't feel every numbered item is for everyone, as if it were a checkoff list you must complete for success in those areas. The self talk of the mind can sway any emotion which in turn influences exactly what you attract into your life whether right away or in time. The quantum physics theory basically or simplified in The Secret: The Law of Attraction. I used the power of the mind to heal from back troubles, lose weight, find life enjoyable, become loving, compassionate and supportive of others and their journeys and become pregnant by manifesting with my mind. A whole new look on and the miracle of life are proof positive for me that you create your world as you go. Once you overcome the fear of shifting your feelings toward the positive side of any thought process, it's amazing what you can accomplish. It's like you can feel an energy in your body change immediately as you re-word your self talk! Pausing to give gratitude for what you already have is a great start to more positive inner dialague. Then manifest away!
