If you're a voracious reader like I am, there aren't enough hours in the day to devour all the books in which I'm interested.
That's why I use my MP3 player often to listen to lectures, and not music.
If you have the same thirst for knowledge and time challenges that I do, you'll want to review this list of awesome speed-reading techniques by writer Keith Drury. Some of the tips include:
- Eliminate all distractions
- Do a 10-minute pre-read
- Use your finger!
Just like optimizing your health, learning how to read faster takes time and effort, Drury says. In other words, merely reviewing this list won't make a dramatic change right away. Still, it's possible to double your reading speed but it takes a lot of practice and discipline.
I am convinced that the ability to read quickly is an essential tool to success as it will allow you to learn the amazing knowledge that has been compiled by those that went before us.
Perhaps even more importantly it will allow you to learn more of the amazing secrets hidden on the Internet.
