Shawna, thanks for the heads-up on Siberian2's dog. I'll stop talking about RMBs. Though I will say that there are many experts who don't believe dogs need vegetables, and have the healthy dogs to prove it! But as I said in my latest post, we all have to do our own research and figure out what we're most comfortable with. I've actually researched the balance of what I give my dogs quite thoroughly, though if the hooligans would eat some veggies I'd give them to them once in a while, LOL!

Swinn/Shawna, thank you so much for your kind comments about my site. I hope you enjoy spending some time on it. I am getting ready to make some updates to it this week so please keep checking back! Muddy was a special dog and he touched a lot of hearts while he was alive - and seemingly even since he died.

Here are more pictures of the Tramp. Both my husband and I came up with the same name. We love the movie Lady and the Tramp, so it was perfect. I had a dog in childhood, the best dog, named Rebel. When my mom saw this dog, she knew he was my beloved Rebel reincarnate. (Not really, we don't believe in that, but you know what I mean.) Tonight, I thought I had lost the Tramp. I just successfully had trained him to use the doggy door to go potty and then he dissappeared, like our beloved duck last year, Anita. She was eaten by a mountain lion, we saw his tracks. I feared the worst! But he had slipped back in without my knowing it and fell deep asleep in my husbands boots. Praise the Lord, too cute.
You did not offend me. I took someone's advice and saw results. That was all I was throwing out there. I completely understand what you are saying and completely agree with you. Yes, I have been slacking on keeping my dog up to date on food and such but I actually have an appointment with a holistic vet tomorrow. I do know that no matter what raw is better, but I just prefer Solid Gold with enzymes and raw treats (from Steve's Real Foods actually). The whole point of the forum is to expand on knowledge. The problem with the holistic industry is that nobody wants to support studies to prove they work. Well, there are some but not easily accessible. We all have to go by unpublished studies and each other's results. Though, since Mercola has started this site, it has been a major improvement and we get to see more studies that aren't normally out there! So, please don't feel bad. You are doing a great job!
Thanks for your interest and your reply. My GSD dwarf was diagnosed with kidney failure about a year ago. Just recently her blood work came back almost normal (BUM and creatinine). She has a lots of health issues, but it all got better since she had her hysterectomy done last year. She even gained a pound and is now 14 pounds. The vets don't know too much about dwarfism. I am still researching to find out more about it.
